    I was looking for accommodation earlier and stumbled across the "Circle On Cavill". I emailed the owner for a quote, and he sent me a reply saying that his agent had gotten a few enquiries, and that minimum stay was 7 nights :(
    I emailed him back telling him why I was going up to the Gold Coast, and reassured him that I wasn't a 'rowdy' drunken teen.
    He sent me an email back just now saying that he's also a Pearl Jam fan, and that he'd be willing to make it an 'owner booking' so that I could have it for the 3 nights. He was saying that the agent he goes through is asking for $500 per night but he'll let me have it for $300, but if I want I can negotiate.The funny thing is that he also lives in Newcastle :eek:
    The place is fantastic, and the balcony looks directly down onto the Hard Rock Cafe, but the price is a bit of a worry. I don't know what to do. He's given me his mobile number but negotiation isn't my forte.

    I've seen some more places that are quite cheap, and are in a good location.

    Hey Rob Circle on Cavill is Beautiful :) And has an amazing view. Sounds like a nice bloke though... but $300 is alot per night.

    Too much for us on top of the $1300 air fares. I know what you mean about negotiating....I'm hopeless....I'm more likely to say something stupid like -are you sure that's enough? :D

    Oh sweety!!! You're a gem:) I need all the advise I can get....I've forgotten how to look for accommodation that doesn't have to include the 3 kids :D How exciting!!

    I feel bad cos in the end he's losing out. He sent me a file with about 20 photos of the apartment. It's fabulous!! It has a top of the range gym, a top of the range kitchen a games room with a pool table, and the fact that I could spit on the Hard Rock Cafe from the balcony if I wanted to made this place #1
    I just can't justify paying so much, even if he has wiped $200 per night off the price
