Kudos to these two great bands for going to play in all those venues
EDIT - Damn you Glenn
At least Powderfinger will be playing last at every show, so that means I can rock up late0 -
Tickets are gonna be gone in a flash.
On their last tour Silverchair sold out 2 shows in Newcastle in 2 minutes!!!0 -

Yeah, it's gonna be crazy there is some big gaps in some of the dates to play more show, like the 2nd last date is toowooba on the 14th of oct, then the last in the gong on the 23rd of oct, so there is a good week there to fit in more brisse or sydney shows.
still undecided if i'll be there, with the wife due in september it could be cutting it a bit fine, hate for the kid to pop out in the middle of the concertcondescending and sarcastic since 19800 -
No Townsville. :( I hate Silverchair so it doesn't bother me THAT much. I used to really like Powderfinger but not as much anymore....I'd probably still see them though at a smaller venue.★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★
★ 2009 - Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, Christchurch ★
★ 2011 - EV Newcastle, Melbourne 1, Melbourne 2 ★0 -

I'm not sure...I'd have to think about that...I'll get back to you.
But for ME, it surely isn't SILVERCHAIR and Powderfinger! I think Silverchair are highly overrated and have thought that since that fucking Tomorrow song.★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★

Well i don't think Australia has EVER seen a tour of this magnitude, 22 cities, 2 months worth of dates, alot more shows to be announced. and i think tix for this are gonna sell fucking quick. powderfinger and silverchair concerts normally sell out within minutes.
weather you like them or not, and i'm not a silverchair fan, they are the 2 biggest bands in Australia and have been for at lest the last decade.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

Well Oz Jammer should have said the BIGGEST tour Australia has ever seen...
and not the GREATEST....
Lots of gigs doesn't mean GREAT -- it means BIG!★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★

well i still think it rates as the greatest Australian music tour, unless some how micheal hutchense re joined inxs and they decided to tour with a reformed midnight oil, and they got AC/DC to support.
i don't see any other tour coming close, oh wait maybe if jet and wolfmother toured together!!!

Ohhh, i'd pay to see the "Virgins Across Australia Tour"
Hang on, it's not the Sydney Olympics any more is it, scratch that, Nikki Webster is a slut.
Well Guy would have to find some other virgin to tour with.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -
What I find interesting is that it says that each show will have a special guest.
Does that mean a guest that's specific for each show eg Newcastle - Screaming Jets, Perth - Jebediah, Brisbane - George etc????0 -
Put it this way Sus.....these two bands are the biggest bands in Australia today.
It's the equivalent of if Led Zeppelin & The Who toured England together in the 70's, or if Pearl Jam & Nirvana did a US tour in the 90's0 -

Don't know, but Paul Mac is announcing a tour as well today, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him DJing before and in between sets.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -
