the idiot who wrote that article must be some type of dick head, they couldn't even get who was in the photo right. "short a chorus or hook" ha ha, man i hate how every song must be written for radio these days, if the chorus doesn't start in the 1st minute radio won't play it. this album is the fingers best, cause it's not a collection of singles, it's an album that tells a story, with each song fitting together and having a similar theme.

I like their music but Fanning's voice always ruins it for me, which is a shame....

I've heard people say the same thing about Pearl Jam and Eddie. I think Bernie's voice compliments Powderfinger's music perfectly. as Eddie's voice compliments Pearl Jam's music perfectly.
I couldn't imagine anybody elses voice with either band, and nor would I want to

But Eddie can actually sing and I don't think Bernard can. Anyway that's just my opinion.

    I'm a bit over Powderfinger....sad, but true.

Bernard just doesn't do it for me anymore....Leigh got the album in today...said it is typical Powderfinger....nothing new....I, myself, have not listened to it.

    And that is all...

i think it's much the opposite, it's not typical finger at all, maybe the 1st 3 songs and nobody sees, but after that this album is totally different for the finger. and i've read many reviews saying if you like the old powderfinger you won't like this.

It's BF's monotonous voice. There's no variety in it.

 Pete started off ok and then got really predictable.

I'm just not a fan of Bernard Fanning in general I suppose. A band has to have a great frontman or they're nothing imo

yeah maybe pete's 1st song, then after you heard the second song you realise that he sings in that same not for every song. :D

what other bands do you like besides PJ?

They're aren't any really. I like some JBT, Missy Higgins and Wolfmother but that's about it. Sad, isn't it? :o
