They see a GA section on the seating chart so they post GAs (that they don't have) on Stubhub at ridiculous prices. But they know that SECONDARY MARKET PRICES ONLY GO DOWN!! So they depend on folks paying them a fortune now, claim a ship date as late as possible (7/16) and know they'll get GAs later at a much lower price, and then ship them to you. Happens all the time.
What they don't know is the specifics around GA being TC only (if that's the case), and will call.
So, if you buy GA on Stubhub, be prepared for it falling thru, and making your claim with Stubhub, which means you'll just get your money back in the case that all GA is really TC and will call. I bet a lot of these listing will fall off once sellers realize they can't get them.

okay, kind PJ fan, you've talked me off the ledge - at least for tonight. But how will I get through this... not knowing if I am going... :crazy:With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

The prices certainly won't go UP between now and July, and they certainly aren't going to run out between now and July either, so why not wait until it's July and see what the prices are?? The very worst that could happen is that you end up paying the same then as you do now, but if you do it now, you'll probably spend way more than you need to (and help keep ticket prices high).
okay, kind PJ fan, you've talked me off the ledge - at least for tonight. But how will I get through this... not knowing if I am going... :crazy:With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
PJ_Soul -- July seems so far away... I just don't want to risk waiting too long and then NO tickets will be available.
But thank you for talking some sense into me, I am clearly not thinking my strategy out too well0 -
My wife and I HAD used StubHub many times with no problems, until the Soundgarden show at the Orpheum in Boston. Bought paper tickets months in advance, had them shipped to my house well in advance too. Luckily, I brought the stubhub receipt with me to the show as when they scanned our tickets at the door THEY HAD ALREADY BEEN USED. I was lucky to get tix at the box office, and StubHub refunded my money (and paid for the tickets). Not worth the hassle IMO, as if the box office did not have tix I would have been shut out!
Run away!!!

Impossible for a show this size. Have used StubHub plenty of times for concerts and baseball games. Wait until a couple weeks before the show and there will be plenty on the site at lower prices and people here unloading extras, too. The only shows you have to worry about are bands playing in rooms way too small for their popularity. Otherwise, buying now is buying at the absolute peak of the secondary market.0 -
Or you could pay $25,000 per tic and have them by Feb. 19th. WTF is that! :fp:0

thank you all again... I am going to wait. What worries me more than the price is the delivery date, I want to try to find a ticket that will be emailed to me at point of purchase. I've always had good luck with Stubhub, but never had to wait till the day of show to pick up ticket... that is a bit suspect. :wtf:0

The dates say July 16 for all of them because that is only as far as stubhub would let them put them up until0

Yes, because the sellers don't actually have tickets yet0 -

Can I have one???
I hate to say this, but....
Like it or not Dimi, there are GA tickets out there, no matter what 10C is telling you. Chicago is a big city, and so many people with connections and calling in favors will get tickets.
This is the thing about having a GA area... there's "capacity" and then there's capacity. major venues/concert promoters frequently jam more people into GA areas than their allowed, if there's the demand.
I'm sure 10C were told they got all the GA's.... but I gaurentee you there's people out there with them already in their hand...
And again, like it or not, if a fan club member is determined to scalp his GA for some ungodly sum of money, he'll do it, and someone will pay for it... once the tickets are in his hands from the box office, there's so many things you can do with them....
whatever i know i pass it..i want to help good people out there..
so far only 1 GA i found and pass it to a friend..more than 20 seated..
5 months..i hope all get fixed..
and really..there are 2 people im dying to help with GA ...ill fuckin find spares for them..
And i really hope you find tickets for everyone that you're trying to help out... I know you have the best intentions at heart and want to help everyone. Unfortunately, I think for the time being you're going to be at a bit of a stalemate Dimi.... I would say about 2 months before the show you're going to start seeing a lot of people with an extra.... people who have the traveling buddy bail for whatever reason... but until then I think you're going to be lucky to see anything.
and no, i don't have proof that GA tickets exist in people's hands at this point - but I also think you're naive if you truly believe they don't exist. I gaurentee you they're out their somewhere... i bet chicago radiostations have some to give away... and I bet there are high-rollers out there who have them too... but can I prove it? nope...
Promoters always over-sell big shows like this. ALWAYS.
The first tool show I ever saw in 2006 at the Molson Ampitheater in Toronto the lawn was oversold by 2000 tickets and the venue got caught because you physically couldn't move up there...
Happened again at the Amp in 2009 when PJ played there - the venue didn't get caught this time, but I personally know several Amp employees and have met the manager of the place and he told me as much before the show when I was sitting in his office chilling with him having a beer...
So I wouldn't doubt that some of these tickets are legit, but it's still a risky move to pull buying them...Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -

If anything thats NOT suspect. Means youre getting your tix through a 10club member who can only get their tickets the DAY OF the show.He was ok but wondering about wandering0 -
Is this the same for non-GA tickets? Do field level/lower bowl/upper bowl 10c winners know the location of their seat ahead of time?Never has gravity been so uplifting.0
