Zagat's Top 25 Burger Places in the USA includes Edzo's burger in Ed's hometown of Evantson (just north of the City). I've never been there but now I'm curious to try it.

    Burgers? I like burgers. :D

I think having a top 25 burgers in the USA list is a little difficult. I have had so many amazing burgers at little hole in the wall bars or off the path restaurants. I think they should call it 25 great burger places in the USA.

i gotta disagree. we randomly ended up there one day...

first place we stopped, we were chased out by bugs.

then we walked around looking for something decent. ended up in some bar....with crappy service.

we were not impressed with downtown evanston.

maybe it is. but there is no reason for a bar to have gnats or fruit flys or whatever they were flying around the bar area. unacceptable.

and the bar tender...good god. worst bartender i've ever had. dude was a major low talker. dude, you are a bartender, speak up a little. :fp:

oen of the cooks came out as well......yeah...umm....pass.

    never again.

good to hear it's not always a disgusting cess pool.

If you see fruit flies you know they arent keeping it clean behind the bar. Ever watch Bar Rescue, that shit is gross.

exactly. which is why we walked out and i sent them an email calling them out on it. and if they let the bar area get that disgusting, who knows what's going down in the kitchen. :?

Evanston is so weird. Parts of it are beautiful and the downtown area is really nice. Then there are parts where you feel like a bulletproof vest is needed.
