Sorry Helen, I had my head burried in the most lush of pizza's at that moment so didn't hear the name Helen being shouted... :)

I can't believe I spent 25 euros that night trying to keep dry!! Both our first ponchos split right down the back and the umbrella we bought earlier split into about 5 pieces when the first gust of wind came through... It was all worth it in the end and once Pearl Jam came on and the first notes of Release were being played, I couldn't give two shits about the rain!!!

Although, I'm glad the forecast is in the mid 20's and sunny for Berlin on Saturday! :)
  • I just want to scream HELLOOOOO!!!
It's my first post on this great forum and I want to share my feelings....Oh my god it was AMAZING!!! An incredible show! The rain couldn't ruin the energy in the air, I cried and I laughed, I shook all over and I screamed.... I felt Ed's voice flattering my mind...
It's the 4th time I see a PJ show live and every time it's more intense!
    Thanks.

I just question our modern needs

Man, I don't think I've come down yet. What a wonderful few days in Italy. I don't have the words just yet, I'll just say soundcheck, not for you into grievance, come back and alive and I don't know if it was rain or tears streaming down my face when release started..........

Was good to meet the two other Scots Neil & Fraser in Zacs on Friday night. Will have to do it properly some other time.

Aww that's ok. Next year then! Oh but you live in London, right? I'm going over for Halloween weekend hopefully so there will be a meet up.

My poncho held out... some of them were ridiculous with the buttons and the belt and all that. I got one of the plastic bags over the head job :D

We all love Jeff (in a purely platonic way) because he's sweet AND he takes the most INCREDIBLE pics - especially when he has front row. He took the pic of Eddie at the Astoria that a lot of us girls who went there still consider to be the best!!!! Thanks Jeff (& his lovely wife who hopefully is as Eddie crazy as we are!) :D.

Pics of verona are really cool as well. I like the 'underground' one.. has a bit of post-word destruction feel to it! :D

Just got back from the Italian leg! WOW :D

At Verona I was Front Row (thanks to my low 10club number) I have to say - I found it a very moving show!!! I'll try and write a little review when I've trawled through my work emails :|

  • unreal show! ALL of it! i think the downpour in some strange way actually added to the specialness of it...and the venue?! *no words*

i think too, i definitely have a soft spot for verona...what a city! also met so many new people, had SUCH a blast together for 2 days straight, great seats, lots of space, dancing in the center aisle start to finish...just an absolute joy. from the opener of release i knew it was going to be special. i found myself many times looking back at the crowd in awe, and also admiring the coliseum itself....just beautiful.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

  • My second show from my trip to Italy. My friends and I got there during sound check...the sound of that venue was clear and loud...but beautiful at the same time.
What a sight of the venue. Lots of 10c members for this show. More than the Bologna show.
We got to see lots of fans from different countries. Germany, England, Poland (three guys with red t-shirts " PJ you forgot Poland") cute shirts., Spain, Mexico...and ofcourse the Italian fans....

We met some people from the US...a woman from NY too and one from Ohio..I think... Cool chicks made us crack up...

The ten club line was ridicoulous long....The 10c door was not opened early...So then the rain came....and we were all soaking wet and cold. Finally the line started to move...and we were in.

My friend was complaning that she believes her 10c tickets were changed or the 10C messed up because she has a low number and she was seated after the higher number fans...I didn't really care...for god sake I was in the front row....a little far left from mike side. The stage though was far.

We were waiting for PJ for so long on this day. I guess the rain made it longer for the wait.

The opening band were good today. better than Bologna in my opinion.
Then the brake....we were all waiting and the energy of the crowd was exciting....yerning for some PJ...Finally the Boys went on stage...and OMG....the feeling was great....they opened up with Release....
Then after that it was crazy fast....the set list for this show kicked ass. The rain made it special that is for sure...
they slowed the show with LBC and then they started to rock again. great first set.

    Then the first encore....WOW.
very soulful with Mike's Inside Job (love this song) and ofcourse Come Back...what a beautiful song...this song has a powerful ending...specially when eddie sings those last lyrics. gives me goose bumps.

The second encore...was great too. but then this song started playing and I was questioning when I asked my friend she was like it sounds like my sharona..and I was like what?!?!
I've heard that song before but was confused to what was the band singing this but then during the chorus...I sure knew why...lol My Verona...I thought that was hilarious. The sense of humour the band has. lol

Alive was superb to see Eddie go up on the stands to be next to some fans. I was a little worried sinced it stoped raining but it was a littler slippery...I was concerned Eddie could have slipped and hurt himself...but he didn't...when he got on stage again he slide down the stage...it was cool to see he was enjoying it...then he went up the stairs again to the fans...Stone's side. People rushed to get closer to eddie. but his security was right there...He sure looked protected.

Over all this show was spectacular....except for smelling everyone smoking in your face.

It was crazy to see the bootleg sale that was going on outside the venue's in Italy though....their merchandise looks great...sadly to say better than the official tshirts...I was tempted but everything in Italy is so expensive...I had to save some money for my next and last PJ show to buy something Official. But these bootlegers had lines of people trying to buy their awesomely designed shirts.

Well I hope you all had fun in this show...I can't wait to have more money so I can buy my bootlegs for concerts in the US and Italy.

    P.S.

Thanks to that guy who offered his sweater to me...I was cold b/c I was wearing sandals and he thought I was going to get pneuminia. I didn't accept his offer...I felt embarrassed. but any how...thanks again. :)

Hey, it was great to meet you and love the new look even if it isn't really blond-lol. Still jealous about your front row, wish I could have got 10c for that show, oh well. It was just amazing being in that venue. I agree with the others that said the rain just added to the atmosphere. It was beautiful and amazing. Hope you had a good trip home and hope we meet up again. We're the old ones btw. :)

Listening to RITFW from the boot.

I didn't realize Eddie said "red white and green"
and then changed the lyrics to "a thousand points of light for the colored man" (that I got live too).

I think it is very sensitive of Ed to have picked on the situation of Italy and its new reality of immigration. I don't know if he knows, but Verona for all its beauty is known to be a town of extremism from the right.

    I love this guy :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

btw, I don't think I saw you when I came over to say hello to the Jammers at the Zac after the concert?
