are you saying that this isnt true? i should prove this? these documents came from the govt which they fought to keep secret. the names were redacted, obviously i cant prove it!

yes your right i cant prove that the govt wanted to kill OWS leaders, I cant prove that the govt killed JFK, I cant prove that the govt killed MLK, i cant prove that the govt didnt kill etc etc etc (soon to be assange)

You pointed to a quote from the government that in no way indicates the government was planning to assassinate anyone and called it proof. The document indicates that someone, somewhere, may have been planning sniper attacks against OWS members. Why are we supposed to be believe it was a government operative who was doing this? Why are we supposed to believe this threat was any more real than the poor innocent anarchists you don't think should be in jail for plotting to blow up a bridge? Why is the government intelligence supposed to be so infallible this time but completely wrong last time?

I'm sure a great many people considered these ramshackle and illegal camp dwellings popping up in the heart of their cities to be a potential threat.

Who was OWS protesting? I thought it was Wall Street, not the government.

OK. So the question remains: Can anyone think of a single conspiracy theory that has been proven true?

My original point exactly. If you are interested in details we do not know yet that is one thing. But if you are pushing the idea that this is all a hoax to hurt the gun industry then you are just a terrible person. Those kids are dead and all you are worried about is your politics.

Again, the issue is not asking questions. The issue is conspiracy mongering for the sake of getting attention and making money. Blindly following someone like that makes someone no less "a sheep".

Me thinks you know nothing about being a slave, so probably not the best analogy to be using. Critical thinking is what will usually win the day, but then perhaps that might also relate back to my first sentence.

This type of paranoia and distrust, if widespread, should be very concerning for so many reasons.

Where does this entrenched disposition come from? There are no people from any other country on this forum that talk like this about their government.

A major issue or crisis should have the effect of galvanizing the country as they bond together to deal with it... yet on this issue, people have become more polarized. It will be interesting how your leadership responds today and, in turn, how the public reacts to this response.
