Okay, sorry for letting this thread die.

Evolutionary had kindly offered to help out with the shirts, as he's got a mate who owns such a business and the quote we got was more than fair. However, it seems like a very complicated matter to get everyone who signed up to pay and then get the money to the person who prints the shirts, etc. I cannot afford to buy a significant amount of shirts up front and to resell them later.

That's why, for now, I set up the following.

    http://www.cafepress.com/mp_yielded

You can get shirts and badges there. Please note that I do not make any money from this! Also, I haven't seen them in person (I will order a couple, but not right now). Buy at your own risk!
I would have loved to make a black shirt, but alas it seems that I can't get them done with prints on front and back.

  • Badges are designed and ready to be assembled.... there's no going back now.

I'll order about 50 of 'em. How does a fiver each sound? :D

    I kid

damn capitalist americans :D;)... so even if i did want a t-shirt i'd have to buy it from the States and then pay for the shipping to the UK... isnt this the European Tour?? ;)

http://www.badgesforbands.com is a website here in the UK which does 50 buttons/badges for £10/$20... which is considerably cheaper per unit cost.

its a great idea what you're doing but wouldnt it have been better to use a UK t-shirt/badge company? just my 2 bullion bars worth
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

For the record, I'm not American :p
It's just that this is the only site I know of which lets you do this kind of thing. I'd much rather use a European site too, so does anyone know a site similar to 'Cafepress' but based in Europe?

Just got back from todays gigging exploits (all-dayers are great for getting home early ;) ), and had a word with our lead singer about the T's - for he is the chap with the printing business. he offered to put them up on his website as a limited edition style affair, and then we can just let folks order at will (with payment via paypal, as thats what he uses for online stuff). That should eliminate the problems with ordering from the States and resultant delivery times...
let me know if thats cool, and I'll chuck him the designs for him to do a mock up.
(iirc his original quote was around a fiver per shirt - not including shipping, but I reckon the whole shebang should be do-able for under a tenner... both front AND back print [properly done with a screen printer - same sort of quality as official merch] and shipping)
...London Doesn't Call Anymore... (rip joe)

Yes, I have been to some Pearl Jam concerts. Several of them.

That would be truly excellent and certainly the most convenient way of doing it!

What do you other people think? It sounds excellent to me!

This sounds an excellent idea! What's the website address?

Sorry this thread died for a while. I've been unable to get online for a while, due to various reasons. I'll try my hardest to get online though until the June gig so that these damn tee's and badges get to whoever wants them! :D

so what's the deal then? should I wait for the UK website to post the t-shirts and badges or should I just buy them from that "cafepress" website?

Kewl... I'll pop over John's tomorrow and sort it out with him (need to give him a copy of the font)... should have the web-address and final details within a day or so :)

    Nuts.

Sorry guys, had a stupidly busy couple of weeks with the band and generally lots of wierd and interesting stuff going on - basically our band had a contract offer through from a label, and everythings been devoted to sorting out stuff related to that. Anyway because of that all the bands side projects have been put on hold, so John won't have time to sort out T's :( He sends his apologies, but this is something we've been working towards for the last five years, so it kinda takes his (and our) priority.

Luckily, as I'm only roadcrew and occasional backing vocals my time hasn't been completely stolen, so I'll still be at the gig :)
