One thing I hope for next year, regardless of who is coach, gm, or qb, is one season where we don’t have any position devastated by injuries. I know guys get hurt in nfl but we have had multiple positions just devastated the last few years

So if both home teams win the NFC east games next week, a 6 win team is the division "champion". Wretched.

Could get a pick as high as 3 if everything goes our way next week.
That would require Bengals beating the Ravens, who need to win to get in, Texans beating the Titans, who need to win to get in, and Falcons beating the Bucs in Tampa (Brady has never lost to Atlanta). Tall order.

Washington can secure the NFC East with a win in the final game of the regular season. Philadelphia was eliminated from playoff contention after losing to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16.
If the Eagles beat Washington in Week 17, the winner of the earlier game between Dallas and the New York Giants will earn a postseason berth.

Eagles will have to eat some salary most likely to trade him. Of course Pederson just got the dreaded vote of confidence, so maybe Harry will be staying with a new coach come tomorrow.

i'd rather have Washington win the NFC east than the Giants, plus if the eagles lose, better draft pick position.

I mean it's pretty easy to see what Doug is trying to say right, even though it makes no sense right? This is his way of trying to lessen the blow to Carson (and his ego) to say, "hey, I'll bench anyone that's playing badly." It's too obvious and over the top. The bed has been made, and everyone has to lay in it.
With that said,, so glad they have the 6th pick instead of the 9th. Because until Howie's taken out of overseeing the draft i could have easily seen them trading up those 3 spots or something stupid. And trading back a 6th pick is absolutely worth more, which I think they needto do. They need to load up on as many picks and value as possible because this roster blows.
Still trying to guess at what Doug was doing. I didnt think of it being a sign to Carson...more thought it was a flex of his power. Power to do something totally fucking stupid (if actually trying to win the game) and bring in the stooge.
Jalen could have won that game -- could also have not won the game, but Sudcrap had almost no chance.
If he was doing it just to troll the G-Men....well, that is actually pretty funny.

Yeah, reading this Athletic article between Wulf and Berman slightly changes my viewpoint on it, too. I didn't realize the quotes earlier in the year by Kelce (and the picture of Wentz, Kelce, and Ertz hanging out on the field till 1am). They totally gave up on that game, which is fine, but from a coaching standpoint that speaks volumes. It's pretty bad the way they openly tanked the game after talking out of the side of their mouths that they don't do that.
I guess we'll see how badly Carson wants out by how he restructures his contract. Otherwise, I don't see him having any leverage in this situation. I think Wentz, Kelce, Ertz are all gone. See who is desperate enough to snag a QB at #6 and trade back for more picks.

I'm hoping the Giants win the division so it's more likely they bring Gettleman back.
Tall order.

If the Philadelphia Eagles are to play spoiler in Week 17, they'll have to do it with a significantly shorthanded roster.
Running back Miles Sanders (knee), defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (neck), wide receiver DeSean Jackson (ankle), and tight end Dallas Goedert (calf) are among nine Eagles players who won't play in Sunday night's game against the Washington Football Team.
Defensive end Derek Barnett (calf), offensive tackle Jordan Mailata (concussion), tight end Richard Rodgers (ankle), and linebackers Shaun Bradley (neck) and Duke Riley (biceps) were also ruled out Friday.
Washington can secure the NFC East with a win in the final game of the regular season. Philadelphia was eliminated from playoff contention after losing to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16.

I can't believe they're bringing Doug back. I still think Howie takes on a different, modified role.
