    3. I’m not sure these examples illustrate holding a “responsible” gun owner accountable? Lanza’s parents were divorced, his mother had custody of Adam and she was murdered before he went to the school. His mother purchased the gun and allowed him to possess it and the house with the home owner’s policy was hers from the divorce (since razed), IIRC.

    2. The parents were found not civilly liable. The perp is in prison and can’t profit from his crime.

    I’m speaking to situations like the #1 where someone purchases a firearm for someone else or they own firearms that are then used by a kid or someone else to harm someone else, with or without their knowledge or consent. If you buy a firearm or own firearms, it should be your responsibility that they not be used for nefarious or illegal purposes. If they are used in such a manner, you should be held accountable. Be a “responsible” gun owner.

    I just read a lot of what was released today came from the charging documents, I don’t think that has anything to do with the fbi at this point would it?
