so you personally get off on humiliating people?

I don't. I'm just going off what you have said in this thread. you are free to say no, and I will accept your answer. I'm not baiting you. it just seems odd to me that you are making fun of someoen who killed themselves.Gimli 1993

As my very first post in the thread had the word "stupid" in it. Stupid people do stupid things. Since we are making things very simple again somebody you or Hugh justify the queen using a public line in the first place and somebody beliving it. There is protocol in places for a reason. Maybe you should channel your anger on the hospital for hiring tools. And not somebody having some fun. PC running amok!
so it's the nurse's fault for "being stupid" and falling for a prank. gotcha. you never, EVER, fucked up at work? maybe covering for someone and you didn't know 100% of their job?
that's a pretty high horse you have to climb down from.
i think the hospital has to shoulder a lot of the responsibility here. what did they do to help jacintha after the incident? i do suspect there was more going on with jacintha that led to her killing herself... the prank was just the catalyst. if it wasnt this prank it wouldve been something else that tipped her over the edge. its a tragedy that she felt her only option was suicide. now having said that, the djs acted without malice. tbh who the hell would think youd get through supposed security when asking about such a high profile person... and with absolute shit fake accents??? is there not some sort of protocol in place at the hospital for when someone rings enquiring about a patient... again.. especially such a high profile one???hear my name

I agree that she obviously wasn't a happy go lucky person and then got pranked and then killed herself. This was just the straw. However, the person's mental state to me is irrelevant. the radio station CHOSE to air the prank when they hadn't received consent to do so. The hospital is at zero fault here. they couldn't have foreseen her killing herself. Nor could the radio station. But the hospital didn't pull the prank and air it. The radio station did. it is public humiliation.
to me it doesn't matter if the person killed themselves or went on to worldwide 15 minutes of fame on Ellen. doing this shit is just showing our kids that it's ok to do it as adults, and what kind of an example does this set when bullying is such an epidemic among pre teens and teens?Gimli 1993

And setting the example with kids playing sports that nobody is a loser and everybody is a winner sets them up for failure to take a joke such as what was played and not be able to handle it. Kiddie gloves everybody, we don't want you to know that there will be weak and strong, winners and losers.
Better send the kids out on Halloween and teach them to only say treat, or just stand there with their bag open because you may be tricked when you knock on the door or be expected to say something.
Bullying.....buzz word of the last year. Funny thing the people who are in control and like to bully seem to be the one pushing that agenda. Hmmmm, makes me wonder.
This thread has been a good one to hang around and have some fun in. I really need to have more time to waste at work so I can hang out here somemore like the good old days.
Edit: don't forget to feel sorry for all the people Assange outed. :?The poison from the poison stream caught up to you ELEVEN years ago and you floated out of here. Sept. 14, 08

This is a tough thread, and a tough topic. I've been avoiding it because I feel its hard to understand whats happening with what is known.
They said there are three notes left behind from the nurse who committed suicide.
I have a hard time believing that she ended her life because she transferred a prank call, but who knows what her state of mind was. Its a sad story all the way around, but pranks like this have been around for many years. I actually thought it was a hoax for a second when I heard she killed herself.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -

I agree with you whole heartedly about winners and losers. It makes me seethe with how the school system is currently set up where teachers aren't allowed to fail anyone. it's setting up for adult failures who can't handle the real world.
your analogy of kid gloves to bullying is flawed. allowing kids to fail is letting them learn from their own mistakes. how is bullying the fault of the bullied? :?
edit: why do you keep mentioning Assange? what does tha thave to do with this?Gimli 1993
