I got ‘em taken down…almost as fun as putting’em up (sarcasm). I can’t even fathom the people who put up crazy displays, year after year.

Just took my beautiful tree down and dragged it to our backyard for the birds to hang out in. My back is kinda f..ked now!

We hang some generic white winter lights too and keep those suckers on til the thaw.

Looks like we are not putting up any lights this year. Neither of us has the strength or the energy.

I agreed to let a local landscape company do our lights a few years ago. Kind of expensive but they store the lights, put them up, take them down, put up a nice lit wreath, etc.

Makes the wife happy.

I noticed a few nights ago that 4 people on our cul de sac use the same company LOL...there's only 12 houses so it looks very uniform

The weather here has been mild the last 2 days. If I were going to put up my lights today is the day. But her and I both have chest colds that won't go away, and we just feel like crap. Oh well, maybe if I am feeling better by the end of the week I'll get busy.

My bud changed most of his lights to spot lights. Easy and can still be colorful. I can see going down that route someday.
