Blunderbuss- knew it would top the list the moment I heard it
Be The Void- love these guys, been in a real groove with the last 3
Celebration Day- what's there to say, the legends of all legends kicking ass and taking names
Oceania-definitely different from the classic SP sound, but still really great and a step up from their last several albums
Clockwork Angels- haven't given this the time it deserves but pretty sweet
The Wall reissue- love alot of the early versions from this legendary album
Noctourniquet- wasn't sure about this one for awhile but it really nailed me last time I listened
Mirage Rock- always thought these guys were boring, first album of theirs that really grabbed me
King Animal- not as many standout tracks as I would like, but really solid and I am pleasantly surprised how much they still sound like SG
The Lumineers- The Lumineers
First Aid Kit- The Lions Roar
Cat Power- Sun
Soundgarden- King Animal
N.Y. and crazy Horse- Psychedelic Pill
Band of Skulls- Sweet Sour
And so you see, I have come to doubt All that I once held as true I stand alone without beliefs The only truth I know is you.
Do live albums count? If they do, I'm throwing in Zeppelin's "Celebration Day" to my list.

glad people are loving Milo Greene. I originally found out about them from watching a cover by Dawson and Marie of Iron and Wines Naked as We came. The 2 people in that band became the female lead singer and then the the bassist of Milo Greene. I love their sound. Indie pop goodness
Jack White Blunderbuss, no question my favorite of the year.
Band of Horses - Mirage Rock
Glen Hansard - Rhythm and Repose
RNDM - Acts
Imagine Dragons - Night Visions

I found out about them when they were opening for The Civil Wars. I saw them in DC, and they had that entire place on their feet after their set. So good live, and their debut album didn't dissapoint.

For those of you still in love with that 90's "alt rock" sound, check out the Tribes. NME had rated them one of the best albums of the year and I agree. I don't think they've caught on much over here though.
The Black Keys and Band of Horses get honorable mention. Also stellar albums. It was a good year.

All current or future RNRHOF'ers. I like the new Crazy Horse but it's hard to get in that Crazy Horse space these days. Listening in your car or at work just doesn't do it proper justice. When your first song is 26 minutes long, you know it's best to be smoking something or taking one of those psychedelic pills Neil's talking about.

they had a new album? I saw theses guys a few years ago open up for The Whigs and Band Of Skulls and thought they were great. Bough Shake Shiver Moan which was enjoyable. Didn't realize they had a new album out.
Yeah they've got a new one, and it's pretty great! I didn't know it was coming out, I stumbled across it at my local indie - gotta love those happy accidents!
