I read that I heard somehere on the interwebs or the televisions that only the Al Qaeda makes people work on Thanksgiving.

    This is true.
So does L. Ron Hubbard. And Donald Trump.

Have any Walmart employees complained about having to work this particular evening? Are they forcing particular employees to come in, or is it voluntary? Some employees without family or maybe who don't enjoy the holidays may not have a problem with this.

Ever been to a walmart? There is a special place in hell for the people that work there.

Honestly, I don;t really have a problem with it. My wife and I disagree about this type of thing often. Black Friday can be family time too.
Did you just say my wife is going to hell?

Nah, there isn't a hell, no worries!!!!

How does she put up with working there and the really weird customers? I hate going there.
    Medication.

We literally live next door so it's a short walk. I go there often.

I've told her many times that all Wal-Mart employees are retarded. ;)

There is no hell  12 years of catholic schooling here

I feel bad for the employees. But the reason(s)? 1) Jobs are scarce enough that the employees maybe can't refuse the shift on Thanksgiving and still keep their job, and 2) supply and demand -Wal-Mart does it because they've done complex statistical analysis to determine that the money they'll make by opening at this particular time is worth it, and 3) because they can.

It is not something I'd want to be a part of. I love Thanksgiving. My and my kids spend the day cooking and enjoying the day. I don't think I've ever gone shopping on black friday. I'm not much of a shopper

Walmart's greedy corporate practices and selling cheap shit from China are two reasons for me to never shop there.

I feel sorry for the employees, and in general I don't get the whole black friday shopping frenzy insanity. I hope shoppers stay home and walmart doesn't pull this crap on its employees next year
