The missing conservatives ..

The root cause of the crash was the housing market that was artificially propogated by the Clinton policy that everyone should own a house even if they can't afford it (including threats to the banks if they didn't adhere - which they happily went along with no doubt).

Bush is not as bad as you guys make him out to be, but so be it. I'm not saying he helped the situation - he obviously didn't. But, the economy didn't explode until the housing market imploded which sent the banks scrambling. That's a Clinton policy that Bush simply didn't heed.

The difference is - Obama was well aware of (or should have been) as to what the problem was and fixed it by now (as the crash happened in Bush's last 18 months). Instead he pushed forward with the Unaffordable Care Act that doesn't do what folks here pretend it does (b/c I believe you are smarter than that) and wasted 2 years trying to fix the economy b/c those same folks have let him skate on the blame game.

Though, truth be told from what I see he is a perfect reflection of our current population. If a child gets in trouble at school, it's the school's fault and not little Johnny's. The blame game, unfortunately is where this country is at. Very reminiscent of David Dinkin's NYC.
    In a nutshell ...
why are the very best posts here those that get ignored?
    wait I know why...

to be honest, i know how the missing conservative posters on here feel. i felt it in 2004 and if i were them i would stay away for awhile too. when your side loses that big it is a little disheartening and the last thing you want to do is go back to a place like this to face any razzing or criticism.

let's cut those people some slack because i am sure that they are feeling all kinds of emotions, rejection, anger, frustration, sadness, mabe even depression. i don't like to kick people when they are down and not here to defend themselves. just my thoughts at the moment...

although Im not one to deal it out because I dont want to be on the other end... a few people here have it coming. I stay out of this forum for the most part, but the slew of baiting and trolling from a few posters here was pretty over the top and irritating. This has been going on for a year or more.
The culprits had to expect a trebuchet of shit coming their way if 'their guy' lost. I really dont feel sorry.
Glad to see our conservatives here and once again whomever thinks a troll is a troll
because they have a different opinion than the majority, well that opinion
is just cowardly. What are you afraid of? Just allow people to speak their minds
in whatever way they choose. Actually calling another poster a troll is trollish behavior
because it is done so out of meanness and to get a rise, a negative response.

Yes gimme compassion is needed for those disappointed in the election outcome,
if tables were turned others would want that ... a bridge over troubled waters ...
through our own life experiences comes understanding and compassion if we
    allow it.

    Woot! :D

I heard on the news radio this am our President has a very busy schedule this week.
Meeting with all the folks that gave him cash, then taking some folks and heading
to Asia for awhile... nine days.
Then when he gets time he'll be back to meet with the other side about working together
and figuring out how to handle the approaching "cliff".

Kind of wish the cliff was top priority...

the last paragraph there doesn't sound so good for taxpayers or small business....
    great.

Hey now! Obviously you're free to, but no way would I lump Miller in with the Jackson chick.

She's ventured off into some pasture, while Miller - as always - strikes me as intelligent, logical, and decent.

Fair enough, I suppose. He makes a shitload of sense on so many other matters that this one's a non-issue with me.

I don't even think GWB thinks GWB was a great president.
and I don't think he ever wanted any of it.

He is one of those people I can picture as a kindergartner I always liked his look

I was totally kidding! I thought you were pointing it out because of Dennis Miller. I thought it would be a funny oversight on my part...except that it turns out she is too! Haha.

    I loved her on SNL.
