The best part is they are saying how the Tea Bagger party really cost the Republicans. You tea baggers are way out of touch with reality. Nice to see you get your ass kicked!!!

    Changing the subject now?

Like you know anything about what foreign aid goes to what country? And why and how did any country arrive at a position where foreign aid was required in the first place? You know anything about that? Nope? Third World debt didn't just materialize out of a vacuum overnight.
Maybe you can go do some homework then come back and answer any of the above.

    A little quiz:

Question: When traveling in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and or Somalia, what passport would you rather have in your possession?

    A. France
    B. Canada
    C. USA

The answer is easy for me. USA.

I'm not changing the subject. You brought up how we terrorize other nations.

How about if the US just went into a vacuum. Put up walls. Bought only goods and resources we only needed. Pulled all military forces out of EVERY single country in the World...and anything we might not be able to buy because some country wanted to act smart and try and cut us off...we just took by brute military force. Would the World be a better place then. Let people starve in Africa. Let people kill themselves in Somalia. Middle East...fuck it...give us your oil and who gives a shit what tyrants run around. Tsunamis in Japan....fuck em. Would that world be better?

Booked a trip to Iraq, have you? To check on the "flourishing democracy?" See the Gardens of Babylon? Lounge along the banks of the Tigris while sipping tea and smoking a hooka?

Again, no disrespect but when you, with an American passport, can walk down the streets of Baghdad, as a tourist, unmolested and safe, then I shall believe that GWB's war may have been "worth" it, whatever "it" was.

Now do you understand why Canadians might care about what happens "here?"

    Peace.

In all honesty and no disrespect to the citizens of Iraq, but why would I want to go to that country? There's just as beautiful places within my own borders I have never explored and because life is only so long will never be able to explore. But I also get the jist of your post. I personally could care less about what people in foreign nations feel about US citizens...I really couldn't. My Dad put it best (2 tours in Vietnam as a Marine and the man I respect the most)..."if the US is such a bad place why are people always trying to sneak in here? I don't see them trying to sneak out". I just love that.

The same reason that people are always sneaking into Western Europe. I.e, money, and a better standard of living than the one they've known in the country of their origin. A country that's more than likely been bled dry, and/or bombed to oblivion, by the place they're escaping to.

Not crying. Disappointed yes. If anyone thinks this is a positive for the country they are fooling themselves. Is it a negative? Probably not. Just be prepared for four more years of the same.

And sorry if I get off on tangents sometimes but if people want to bring up issues of how this country is terrorists, etc. well...I'm sorry I'll lay it out there with the best of them and just cut right to the bone.

when harper leaves what are you going to do vote for the f ing idiots from the ndp,who will bend over backwards to every loud minority and spend the country into an oblivion for social programs and on themselves when they finally get their hands on power and money. see ontario ndp's in the 1980's . ruined us for years . the u.s. is screwed no matter who won. there is NO solution to the deficit problems thanks to the financial sociopaths who tanked the world with derivatives . if you want to protect yourselves buy physical silver and gold.

Because its as beautiful as many parts of our country might be? Because our government invaded it and tried to remake it in our image? Because to visit our former "enemies" and make peace makes the world a better place? Has your dad returned to Vietnam? If not, he should. As emotional as it might be for him, they would welcome him with open arms. And if not, I can respect that. Its hard. But burying the hatchet has to start somewhere. Look at Cuba. Can I please just go there, lie on the beach, look at the awesome old cars, smoke cigars and spend money like I might in Cancun, Jamaica or Puerto Rico? Please? Can we bury the hate? And the US, yes everyone still wants to come here and it is still the greatest place to come with nothing and make everything of yourself but why do we denigrate and disourage and rant against those that try? Bury the hate. Thanks for the discussion. And Vietnam is a place I'd like to visit. Because of what we lost there and what they might show and tell me.

    Feel better. Peace.
