It wouldn't get repealed. People vote on gay marraige and abortion and hardly anything has changed with those issues in a long time, unless it is at a state level. The parties use these issues to scare their constituents. We need people to vote on the big issues right now which are the economy, debt and foreign policy. THese are the issues that need to be addressed.

Yep, the US is no place for successful businessman. You work hard and build something, the government will take it away.

whats even sadder is that had romney been elected, the major policies in washington would be pretty much exactly the same. We would have gotten more of the same no matter what.

Our elections have effects around the world. People pay attention, and it affects people outside of our borders.

Maybe maybe not. Probably yes. But we now have the status quo...he is my President so I stand behind him as a citizen but still reserve my right to disagree.

My hotel room here in Chicago looks down on Michigan Avenue and over to Soldiers Field, just past that is Obama HQ.

I can see all the blue lights on Lake Shore Drive, I wonder if they've shut it down.

People are cheering and yelling in the street, and horns are beeping.

Very cool to be here for this.

I've seen quite a bit of foreign election coverage. The recent elections in Russia were a big story, as well as all elections in the Middle East.

And for the successful businessmen you have in mind, it seems the U.S isn't the place for workers either, seeing as Romney outsourced most of his businesses overseas in order to fatten his own bank account.

    You still singing that tune?

Maybe if any other country spent 2.16 trillion every year on a military machine they use to intimidate and terrorize the rest of the World, then I'm pretty sure people would pay attention to that countries election results.

It's a beautiful tune. Still waiting for all those countries we "terrorize" to return those foreign aid checks they receive.

Why are Canadians so interested in what happens here?

    A little quiz:

Question: When traveling in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and or Somalia, what passport would you rather have in your possession?

    A. France
    B. Canada
    C. USA

Question: Which country lost the most service members on June 6, 1944:

    A. USA
    B. France
    C. Germany
    D. Canada

Question: Which country continuously thrusts its chest out and requires a boogieman to feel confident about itself and its place in the world?

    A. Canada
    B. China
    C. USA

When you're the "rest of the world", maybe you get sick and tired of the USA throwing its "dispoportionate weight" around the world and being belligerent. Hence, why Canadians care about "what happens here." Think about the world around you, its much bigger than your "everyday."

No disrespect. Walk with me toward a better future, a bright future, a future filled with promise and potential, an American future!

    Peace.
