I saw this painting online today (it's called "Blue drops from the night sky" and it's by Elena Madden) and I thought that the shape was just what I was thinking about in my overlapping circles poem.
(Except that these circles are in water instead of being balls of light.)
I came across this one when I was looking for paintings with flying things. It's part of a mural that an artist named Diane Dainis made for her daughter's bedroom. What a lucky girl!
Another one by Daniel Ridgeway Knight. This one is called "Paysanne a genoux" and when I put it into the handy translator it said "Peasant knees." I thought that was a disappointing title! :?
I like the sky though. Something about the hazy air in the morning by the water appeals to me. It looks like it's probably very quiet and still there too.
