Two new Halloween movies coming in 2020 and 2021
Too bad the first one was kind of dull. And H20 did it all much better. Except for maybe that long one-shot

Yeah, it was ok. There were some good things but hoping these sequels ramp it up more with less attempted comedy.

Yeah after the serious, no-joke trailers I was surprised about the bad comedy bits (even with who the writers were).

    Missed opportunity.

I think they should have started the film with the father and the son arriving at the buscrash and skipped all the pointless shit before that. And the whole last act should have been set on the middle-america-street where they had that one-shot with Michael going on a killing spree instead of having it take place in some boring house out in the forrest with home-alone traps taht made zero sense. Would have been much cooler have it take place in the middle of kids celebrating Halloween - with Michael being there killing, the cops looking for Michael without alarming the public and Laurie looking for Michael also. Could be some crazy tension.

    And H20 Laurie > Halloween2018 Laurie
And Josh Harnett as her son > her daughter

Why could they have not just kept John Harnett as her son, even with them not really acknowledging the movies before? Would have been something nifty in that.

Only remember the Indian-statue and the raft story from the two films.

    Worth watching?

2-3 of my friends who enjoy horror said they were disappointed in the directors follow up Midsommar.

Hereditary was better when it was called Rosemary's Baby. Having said that, Toni Colette is far superior to Mia Farrow.

Yes, it is worth watching and currently free on Amazon Prime.

It was a bit lengthy (2 hours) with a lot of slow 'psychological' parts.

However, it was a truly original movie, no formula we have seen 1000 times.  It was pretty unsettling.  Today I find myself thinking about it and I am intrigued enough to read a few online explanations and plot summaries.  Zero reliance on jump scares.  It isn't the most 'entertaining' movie.... but it is really well constructed.

What did you think of IT FOLLOWS? Speaking of original movies?

Hereditary was one of the best films released last year. And yes, Collette should have been nominated for awards. Superior to It Follows, which was ok to me.
    Definitely  want to see Midsommar.
