Finally got around to watching It last night.

I actually thought it was pretty bad.  Yeah, they made pennywise a bit more in your face and (jump) scarier... but other than that I thought the story was a bit sloppy and incoherent.  I didn't think it would matter, but the jump to 1989 degraded the story a lot.

Caught a double feature of Sleepaway Camp II and III last night in 35 mm.  For the most part cheesy/good slasher film from the late 80'.  Pamela Springsteen stars in these two (yes that's Bruce's sister!).  Have never seen the first one but apparently there's a good twist in it (which i won't spoil in case someone wants to watch it).
Can't believe you havent seen the first. Thats a classic with a complete WTF mind-blowing ending...especially for that time. Hell, even still today.
    i know
Finally saw the original last night.  It was enjoyable (little cheesy and stupid)  Ending was great!

The Exorcist TV show cancelled by Fox. Bummer, it was a pretty damn well done show.
Fox cancels almost all of its best shows.

Just got back from seeing Hereditary.
Bat shit crazy. In typical A24 fashion the trailer does not give you the true feel of the final film.
Slow burn horror until the final 20 minutes.
Toni Collette is fantastic as usual.

^^ Cool, that looks pretty good! I'm glad it's a Shudder co-production- I accidentally paid for an entire year of Shudder, and stuff like this makes me feel like maybe it's not a total waste of money..... I'm really hoping Shudder manages to make itself worthwhile. It totally could be, but the selections right now just aren't up to snuff for the most part. I assume they just need more revenue so that they can pay for the rights to offer a wider selection of more desirable English language horror films. Not that it doesn't have some good selections, both English language and otherwise... It's just not enough to make it a very robust streaming platform IMO.

Awesome! Unbreakable got a lot of flack, but I really liked it, especially the end, where they left it open to this sequel.
I actually like Shamalamadingdong movies generally a lot more than the critics and general public appear to, lol.

Yep, and I liked Split even better.
This movie has a great cast too, with Anya Taylor Joy returning as well as Sarah Paulson.

That's a good choice for Lizzie Borden's character. I really like Chloe Sevigny - she suits the horror genre especially well.

    "Jump scare warning"
Haha, I'd never seen such a warning before a video before. I guess maybe some heart attacks have happened so now they're covering their butts.
