Hot. Second week in a row. Costing me hundreds per week to cool the house. Too hot to use the grill. Boo.

The only way to be outside in these conditions is at a pool or at beach but have to stay in the water  !

Had a huge thunderstorm last night near us. Lot of down trees and debris on the road. Was pretty hot then it t-stormed again in the middle of the day. Mid 80's now. Suppose to rain again a little later tonight.

I'm learning how to read clouds for boating. And weather, I've been paying much more attention to, even though I'm on a small lake this year.

It's cooling down here (bye heat wave #2) so that means thunder and that means fire and that means smoke.

     taking the good days 😄

Oh yeah - even though it's Midsummer the leaves are falling from the trees so there's that.

Humid, gray, windy, and rainy. Remnants of Debby coming through NY later today. And of course I have to make a JFK run at 5pm on a Friday. Good times. It will be one of those days where I ask myself, "why I do live in this part of the world?"

    Rainy reprieve.

It's well timed for a new little fire nearby. Maybe this year's children summer camp won't have special air quality statements impacting outdoor activities?

It definitely can't be as bad as the emergency bus loads that went home with fire raging all around them last year burning down most of the camp.

  • This rain is biblical. I've never seen so much solid rain and it's forecast a full week.

58F, sunny and dry. High of 75F today. Perfect fall day in northern westchester NY. Hoodies in the morning, t-shirts during the day. The foliage is starting to look amazing. Might have to grab the fishing pole and head out.
