im lazy, i download the boot online and put it on my zune. if the bootleg is 2 or more discs, which is pretty much always, i redo the track listing to make it all in one neat album. i dont bother putting them on cd so it doesnt matter. i also get the artwork for the boot and save it on my comp and copy it into the bootleg.
I have around 250 boots or so. I try to get the official copies when I can, from ebay or indie record stores if I can find them for a good price. For the rest, I just use a sharpie and write "Pearl Jam" and the city, state and date and "Disc 1" or whatever on it. I keep them in a couple of big CD cases.
Most of those are loaded to my iPod too.
And I do the poster art thing as well, using the poster for the album art. Tedious, but looks cool.
I've got to have artwork. It's all part of the process. I like the double cardboard cases. If something comes to work in one of those cases, I'll swipe it (altho I'll usually replace it with an old jewel case). So, I either glue art and track listing to a cardboard sleeve or, if I use a jewel case it has to be an old, fat one. I use perfectly sized artwork (the downloaded stuff was never quite right), pry the case open, throw artwork under the CD, too. I waste ink and glossy paper at work . Oh yeah, I've used the picture of the girl holding the "Pearl Jam Fucking Rocks" sign many times (inside front cover).
If I had known then what I know now...

Stacks of dinged-up, caseless and dirty CDs lying in each room of my house. The cities and dates are written in marker. I have a lot but don't listen to alot of them very often.
After a year of downloading and listening I'm back on a studio kick.
I like collecting '94 through '98 shows. Those are the best years for me. I'm also new to all of this but I am amazed by all the Pearl Jam fans from all over the globe!
makes much more sense to live in the present tense.....
I have never made fancy covers or even done track listings. I just use a sharpy to put the city and the date right on the cd itself. After that it they rotate in and out of my traveling case. I guess I'm kind of a bootleg slob.
I need every bootleg out there that is the physical CD
I own all of the 2000 and 2003 boots, but opted not to buy any of the 05-06 ones because they were only digital.
I am in the process of buying all of the 08 ones now. I just purchased the first seven and then at the end of the month, when I get paid again, I'll buy the remaining seven

For the downloaded boots, or ones that I didnt purchase from basecamp, I use the show poster as album artwork. Looks good on my 160gig ipod.
