Jajajajajajaja....
Pero todo puede ser..."How I choose to feel, is how I am"0 -

Parece sencilloIf you follow every dream

Mudhoney Defined Grunge
Posted today at 9:27 am by Krist Novoselic
This video of Mudhoney, circa 1990, was shot by Krist Novoselic on a Fisher-Price PXL-2000, and is being seen here for the first time.
Congratulations to Sub Pop records for their 20 year anniversary.
Of all the Sub Pop bands I must say that Mudhoney are my favorite. In the beginning days of the label, it was Mudhoney who led the charge. Mark Arm, Steve Turner, Danny Peters and Matt Lukin were a group that defined the term Grunge.
Touch Me I’m Sick was the tune that blew the walls out for the band, the music scene and the world. Like Seattle’s Space Needle or the St. Helens volcano Grunge was on the map.
Mudhoney picked up where NW bands like The Sonics and Kingsmen left off. They conjured the Stooges wrapped in the sensibilities of American Hardcore of the early 1980s.
I first met Mark Arm at the Metropolis punk club in Seattle’s Pioneer Square around 1983. Buzz Osborne and Matt Lukin from Montesano’s Melvins took me to my first punk show. The first stage dive I ever witnessed was performed by Mark Arm!!! He was studying english at the UW and was in the band Mr. Epp and the Calculations. They had this weird song called Mohawk Man. Matt, Buzz and I would go to partys and shows in Seattle and we’d almost always see Mark. The man had a biting wit that he took with him to front the twisted Glam ensemble Green River. At a Green River show in Tacoma, Mark came out in a dress with his long black hair done in high-set pony tails, looking like some kind of nightmare chick.
Eventually Buzz and Dale moved to San Francisco. I left Aberdeen for a job painting factorys in Tacoma. Matt stayed in Aberdeen and was asked to join a new band. Mark and Steve from Green River got together with Dan Peters who drummed with Bundle of Hiss.
The new Mudhoney started playing shows and were a sensation right from the start. The shows were beer-soaked, sweaty, and driving. It was the sound of vintage guitars and Peters' solid kick drum and signature snappy snare sound. In fact, the old Hagstrom guitars and Electro-Harmonix effect pedals were part of the lore. Marks wry wit tied together songs with great hooks.
Everett True from the Melody Maker came from London to check out the rumblings in Seattle. That’s when the term Grunge entered the lexicon meaning more than something you find on a shower curtain. Mudhoney toured Europe and broke ground for Nirvana and other Seattle bands to follow.
Like most bands, Mudhoney went on to the major labels. Their music evolved but they always kept that sound. The group also collaborated with artist Ed Fotheringham for great album covers.
Eventually, Matt left Mudhoney to be replaced by Guy Maddison. Flipper played with Mudhoney and the Melvins in Los Angeles last September. I hadn’t seen the band in a long time and it was good to see another great Mudhoney show. Congratulations on 20 years of never falling out of grace.

Green River Taps Archives For Sub Pop Reunion
Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
Green River has gone deep into its back catalog in anticipation of its reunion performance Sunday (July 13) in Seattle as part of Sub Pop's 20th anniversary bash.
Bassist Jeff Ament tells Billboard.com the group re-learned two unreleased songs from its early demo, "Baby, Help Me Forget" and "Leech," for the occasion, which will mark Green River's first show in nearly 21 years.
"In a weird way, those are probably some of the best songs we have," he says. "It's funny how it works. At the time, we thought they were way too simple or not challenging enough. But in retrospect, they're really great pop songs. We re-learned those two, but there are five or six songs that never got released."
Green River, which also includes Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard, Mudhoney principals Mark Arm and Steve Turner and drummer Alex Vincent, rehearsed twice in late April but has reconvened three additional times to relearn the material.
"Last night, felt like we were 95% there," Ament says. "We had a go at 16 or 17 songs and we have 14 right now, but we may need to get that down to 11 or 12 for Sunday. We have a 40-minute slot."
Ament isn't ruling out the possibility of future Green River activity, saying, "It would be fun to write a couple of new songs with those guys." He admits the band has received offers to play live again, but his true goal is what he calls "the ultimate pairing: we need to go ask the Stooges to do 25 shows or something. For me, then it would be worth it."
On Saturday, Ament and Gossard will join their Pearl Jam bandmates for VH1's "Rock Honors" tribute to the Who. The group will debut a cover of the Who's "The Real Me" for the occasion.
"It's always cool to learn a song like that, which is so different than our own style," Ament says. "We've also never played with horns and a string section before, so that will be an added special thing for us."11/25/05 - Buenos Aires

If you follow every dream

Yo lo escuché, de casualidad!
Dijo:

7/10/08 The Sunset Tavern. Seattle, WA (55 min)
Attendance: 200
Supporting: The Fluid, The Press Corps
Soundcheck: Ozzie, Ozzie, P.C.C. (soundcheck possibly incomplete)
Set: Come on Down, 33 RPM, P.C.C., Ozzie, Baby Help Me..., Unwind, Leech, Queen Bitch, Together We'll Never, Swallow My Pride, New God, 10000 Things, This Town, Ain't Nothing to Do
Notes: This was billed as a show by The Press Corps, with special guests. In attendance are Guy, Matt, Kim Thayil, and Jack Endino. Green River combines the Steve Turner and Bruce Fairweather eras to create a three-guitar onslaught that can barely be contained by the small-ish Sunset Tavern stage. From stage-left to right it's Steve, Stone, Mark, Jeff and Bruce, with Alex holding down the backline. A couple of people from Pearl Jam's crew are handling set-up, so when either Stone or Steve has a guitar problem midway through the show, he hands it off and gets another one, prompting Bruce to comment with some amusement, "That's the first time we've had a guitar tech, ever." Swallow My Pride most closely resembles the Dry as a Bone version. Things begin to get wild during New God when a weekend-warrior mosh pit starts up. After the first chorus, Mark jumps into the crowd and makes his way across the narrow Sunset Tavern to the bar. In a move remiscent of his earlier days, he climbs on top of the bar, and while using the rafters to steady himself, walks further into the audience while towering over them and singing. Unfortunately, somewhere in the process his mic gets disconnected and not one note is heard. When they finish the song, he jokes, "I sang great during that second verse."
