What a one sided debate! I have never seen a debate like that, I used to be a liberal Democrat and I have seen many good ones.....this one.....was not even close! Did you notice that Obama changed the subject on the first question? He also actually looked relieved when Romney interrupted! WOW

Obama was finally exposed and out of his comfort zone! He was tested and finally his true colors show!

Did you see the Univsion interview last week from hispanics to Obama? Well, thats how our media should all interview the president. They are supposed to hold him accountable to The People! We are supposed to know the truth through transparency without agenda! Truth can be had and found, if the media was fair and balanced.

Obama was terrible tonight! Inept, confused, lost and frustrated! Again, its what happens to a guy like that!

REALLY? What text or statement do you have from tonights debate to support that notion? That sure sounds like a talking point to me! So tell me what Romney said that makes you feel that way

I never said it was from tonight's debate. He will say anything to get votes. Do I really need to bring up the the 47% audio/video clip. If Romney and his past failed party's policies are the best that Republicans have to offer, we are in much deeper shit if they win.

or we could stick with the guy who ran up record deficits...promised changes that he couldn't cash in on...and wants to increase handouts, which have made such a positive difference in his first four years.

um, no thanks. give the ew guy a shot. he can't be worse

This will help get a fire under Romney supporters. I already see the tide turnig on this forum!

    Woot!
  • Romney Goes On Offense, Pays For It In First Wave Of Fact Checks.

Yeah... he smiled more. He's used to doing that while he fires people.

Sad thing is that Romeny lied through the whole debate and the news have already started to rip him up for it. He said his health care plan has the "pre-existing condition" part... it doesn't. Denies parts of his own tax plan... made some odd comment about Big Bird...

But yeah, if all you care about his a smooth-talking white salesman who can't wait to fuck you over... Romney is clearly your man.

    Oh please.

90% of the "record deficits" has been paying for all the things that Bush bought and didn't pay for.

And you know what? The stock market worth twice what it was 4 years ago... GM alive, Bin Ladin dead, we were losing 800,000 jobs per month 4 years ago... it's not like that anymore.

Yeah... I wish it had gone faster but Republicans have intentionally sabotaged the economy and you say that giving them the keys to the car can't be worse.

    Ugh.

Exactly. He's all white teeth and no substance. A huckster for the rich.

How anyone could think that another slippery Republican in the White House could be anything but bad for the U.S, and for the World, is beyond me.

Republican Pearl Jam fans - I wonder if they ever catch anything of substance beneath the music? Maybe these are the people that tell Ed Vedd to 'shut up and sing'?

from a person who has no horse in the race here i have to say that Obama look lost but had some good points. I thought the moderator was really bad. The one thing and only one thing that I think Obama did was show that being president was about making tough choices but he didn't elaborate on that enough.

Mitt did well in this debate and I can see him climbing in the polls because of it. I did have some problems with some issues. I also wish that Rommey would elaborate on his position.

    How very naive and unrealistic.

  • I'm not getting into this back and forth. I mean Michael Moore and Bill Maher said Romney slammed him. What more needs to be said? Even Rachel Madcow admitted (however begrudgingly) as much.

For me, I was voting for Romney, so this didn't change that. But, before last night I was more voting against Obama and for a wing and a prayer. After last night, I am far more confident in my vote FOR Romney. Subtle shift I guess, but it certainly made me feel better about my vote (which doesn't matter anyway b/c I live in NY)

We raise revenue by getting folks back to work, thus broadening the base and getting folks incomes up. Hmmm. That sounds like a good idea.

obama got his teeth kicked in last night.

    he reminded me of droopy.

romney lied a lot, but he sounded believable and presidential.

the moderator was terrible. he was an embarrassment to the old guard media people.

if you referring to bush tax cuts 1, too bad this did not work the first time we tried it, history has an odd way of tripping up opinions.

yes romney shredded obama last night, the only consolation for obama supporters this morning is the plethora of lies from romney and how those will be exposed.

the upside for romney will be that these fact check reports will not be viewed by 60m live. thus, he will surge, and take back at least 3 of the swing states (polls) imo.

onto the next debate, this morning reminds me of the nfl, every monday morning the world is ending for 1 team and the superbowl is coming for another. there will be another day to fight for both candidates.

When I saw he is a semi-retired PBS anchor, I can't say I was surprised by the results.

They should have Bender from Futurama mod the next debate.

    I agree.

What a great performance by Romney.

It was so good, I smoked a cigarette after.
  • And again... Romeny went against everything that he claimed to believe last week and everything he'll say he thinks next week... But the republicans have shown they don't really care about that.

Facts? Hey... We've had generations and generations to prove that "trickled own" economics is more like "shit on your heads" economics but that doesn't stop them from banging that drum. Romney says it with a smile... They could hear "and we'll leave your mother on the curb" and say "well I'm a lot more confidant now."

The president yeah... He seemed off his game. Kinda slow.

But if you actually paid attention to the words they said and not the pre-written "zingers" that he had "rehearsed," you would realize that you're voting for another George W Bush. But you don't care... He's a republican. So you're just fine with him not giving any specifics at all. None.

You're more confidant because the smarmy rich guy got to be rude to the black man.

The issue that I had was that both Mitt and Obama gave a point form answers to most question. the devil is in the details.
