Echo everyone's comments...this was my 17th show, and where you can't really compare this to the vic, spectrum shows or PJ20, it was an absolute blast of a time. I went in with no expectations, and was blown away by the energy and the set.
Not sure if the following has been said, but it's been a long, long time since we've seen a porch chant plus an extended "We did(n't) belong together". Take that plus the best "It's OK" since the original in NC and you have an amazing show.
I was lucky enough to get first at rail on Eddies side. 10c member Charles was standing to the left of me and he got a bottle of wine from Eddie. He was kind enough to pass the bottle around so we could all get a small taste from the wine bottle Eddie drank from.
I got lucky too and Eddie handed me an unopened bottle of wine at the end of Yellow Ledbetter. Here's my reaction. Scream like a stuck pig. Best moment of my short life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vUvdl3LOQQ&feature=plcp
I was right beside you to your right--right behind the 3 girls with the Brazilian flag (actually stood behind you all afternoon! ) was happy to see you got your spot back after that whole fiasco in the VIP area. We shared many smiles during the show and I gave you a quick congratulatory hug after you received your bottle. I was lucky enough to drink from Charles' bottle (thanks, Charles!).
The show was amazing...never have I been so close to them...it made the entire show surreal. When Eddie came out with Gaslight Anthem I was floored (pumkinhead--you got some good shots of Eddie when he was still side stage!) and when the opening chords of Oceans began I knew I was in heaven. Everyone has basically said everything else I would like to say except, did anyone catch at the very end when all five guys were standing together Eddie said, "See you next year!"?
We met some great people too...Dave, John, Michelle, Shawn, Heather, Mark, Angela, Joe...just to name a few...

Hey Pumpkinhead,
Is it not the Pearl Jam way to "Drink it down and pass it around". Testament to my fellow PJ fans, it was passed back to me.
You and all the fellow fans were great and made the show so much better. Without you all we would have been pushed out. Nothing worse than being threatened of being arrested at a PJ show but we prevailed and had incredible experience.
Loved watching Ed and Mike have thier intimate moment. Shows the love the guys have for each other.

This was my 15th show and it did not disappoint. My SO and I camped out the rail on Mike's side from Fishbone's set on to the end of the night... it was definitely the closest I've ever been to the stage for a PJ set! It worked out great though and we made some new friends during the long wait. Friends are ever so helpful to have around you when you need to go get beer or water or take bathroom breaks.
The band was on fire and I think Ed was really appreciating playing on the beach. There's something amazing about feeling the ocean breeze blowing through your hair while jamming out to your favorite band. The best part of the night was when Mike looked my girlfriend (who was sporting a black Team McCready tank top) right in the eye and pointed at her. Then he smiled and tossed her his pick. Ed came over during Alive(?) and started climbing up the scaffolding right in front of us as well. He then turned and faced the crowd....kinda saying "should I jump"? Then he gave everyone an evil grin and climbed back down. I didn't want the set to end, but it finally was closed with Mike blazing the Star Spangled Banner.
I was a little disappointed that Ed didn't acknowledge the death of Jennifer Jaff... a fellow jammer who was quite close to Mike and his wife. Jaff was a great friend on FB and was heavily involved in the health care reform bill and political activism supporting the chronically ill. Her passing was a shock to A LOT of folks in the PJ community.
I was also a little miffed that Ed gave so much love to the VIPs over on the right. Seriously? The tambourines...the wine...all went to that side. No love for the rest of us...but at least we got McCready.
The festival itself was fantastic. It was run way better than PJ20. Vending was fairly cheap. There was plenty of water and booze was $5.00 for a large can. There was a really nice seafood joint in the middle of the festival grounds and then there was the beach! Who could ask for more? My only complaint was the parking situation or lack thereof. Pretty much you had to park off site somewhere and hoof it or take a shuttle. We parked next to Margaritaville both days we were there and just walked.
I'd go to this thing again next year, even if PJ wasn't playing. It was amazing.
See the path cut by the moon... for you to walk on...
Mike's stare's were wickedly cool/frightning/sick/twisted/etc/etc...it made for some intense trance like solo's that he was putting us into...
the entire mile long walk back to our car at Deluna....We kept sayin'...."Mike was unfucking real!!!"!!!
"Mike F'n McCready" "Was that even real?"
"This was totally Mike's night"
"Mike did this" and "mike did that"...
even myself being a big pj fan...was blown away...blown blown blown away...
did you hear me??? BLOWN AWAY!!!
It also makes a huge difference when you are really really close....
the next night in atlanta...we were on mikes side again (not planned, i love both sides)...
the crowd was so huge though...we didn't get anywhere near as close as the night before...
it was still great but nothing like the stares we got in Deluna from mike...you just had to be in that 20' vacinity of his crazy eye's....
what a great time we had...
PJ/Tenclub/and the entire PJ crew and family..."We couldn't thank you guys/girls enough"
Peace from Nebraska
PM SENT. OMG it was surreal wasn't it. What I fight we went thru to keep our spots after the police camE in and pushed us back so the Brazilian girls could have our spot first at the rail. No complaining though it shared a great experience. That sip of wine from the bottle Charles got...I can still taste it. Best time in my whole short life

Here's another version of Betterman posted for my friend with the wine bottle. Congrats Pumpkinhead and this one's for you!!! My favorite part comes at 6:50 where Mike and Ed lock heads. So cute!!!
Nothing better than the threat of going to jail to make you take a few steps back when the police not Ed tells you to. Congrats on getting that swig of wine from Charles bottle... Charles where ever you are. THANKS A MILLION.

Can't believe this show is not getting more posts. This was THE show of 2012 for North America. Definitely the best show in NA this year. I was in Atlanta and Missoula and still missed the best one. This one is way underrated. One great set list, especially for a festival.
Well if I read that tweet correctly then this bootleg will be premiering on the radio today.

Flew down from New Jersey w. a few buddies to see Deluna Fest. Our childhood friend lives about 45 minutes from Pensacola Beach. What a weekend of music. Gas Light Anthem, Foo Fighters and Bad Brains were the highlights besides the killer PJ show. Deluna was PJ show # 49 for me dating back to 1995. Between the setting on the beach, seeing one of my best friends, traveling with other close buddies the Deluna weekend ranks right up there with some of the best shows this dude has seen (Penn St 03, Randalls Island 96, New Orleans 95, Halloween in Philly 09 and MSG 98 shows)
Thanks to PJ.
