    Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Here's to the State of Mississippi was played a good bit by Tim Robbins band on the Vote for Change Tour in 2004.

    Interesting that PJ would choose to play that one instead of an original song (even if it was re-written to reflect current government).

    I have to defend Sleight of Hand here. It's a beautiful song that perfectly reflects why Pearl Jam is my favorite band. As for it being downbeat (which is certainly subjective), I can't imagine really feeling good about Jeremy or Last Kiss or Black or I Got Shit or Nothingman or a great number of other songs. Music doesn't have to make someone feel good to make them happy.
