That hasn't been announced anywhere has it?? I think I might have to have a listening/viewing party for us southerners since we got the shaft.

Springsteen's show was horrible, man! What was up with him telling the story in between each line of the song? Talk about killing the flow (and I'm not talkin' PJ when I say "flow").
I'm gonna guess about 8 songs 4 or so off the new album,GTF,small town,Betterman,and Porch,mabey E Flow 0r Daughter.
That's what would make sense. If they were smart, they'd play their most accessible songs to get new fans into them. The setlist you said would be perfect. I'd guess something like...Life Wasted, World Wide Suicide, Parachutes, Gone, Severed Hand, Betterman, Given To Fly, Porch, Daughter, & Alive.
Saw Springsteen recently and it was great. really want to see PJ do this

I agree. He basically stopped playing the song, told a snippet of a storyline, the crowd would laugh, and he would start playing again. It killed the feel, mood, you name it!! It was a dissapointment, but then again, I am not that big a Springsteen fan. I got the Essential album, and devils&dust and that's it. Don't know if I'd care to see him live.
Are you thinking of Bruce's MTV unplugged show or VH1 Storytellers? I saw the Storytellers on Bruce, and he would talk in between each line in a song making sure every aspect of it was understood. It was more or less a monolgue with some musical backing.

Yeah, but the whole idea is STORYTELLERS.....they are going to explain the song.....
I'll be at the Jersey shows. Flying out of Chicago tomorrow at noon. Taking my younger brother who has never seen Pearl Jam live. I'm hoping for Oceans/Sometimes. Doesn't look like we will get Wash or Release after the last couple nights.
Why go, Animal? Foxy Mop in my tree, no way. Gods' Dice Get Right Come back amongst the waves yellow moon. https://www.instagram.com/knowcode/
Maybe we will get lucky and hear some Hunger Strike this time around in Nj again. At least SK won't be there to butcher it this time!
My Morning Jacket might actually be good for that...
I forgot, we'll probably get MMJ on stage with PJ during the encore since its their last night on the tour Saturday. They seem to always do that lately.

That would be cool.. Looking forward to hearing MMJ - have been hearing good things... Looks like they have been closing with a bunch of different songs lately (before YL, of course).... Wonder what it will be this weekend. You can probably guess my choice...

I've heard Baba 2 out of 3 shows this tour, but I wouldn't mind getting it again if its anything like it was at MSG. Actually I'm praying that a lot of the same people from those 03 MSG shows (like myself) make the trip to jersey.

I just got back. Those songs were played plus a song called Here's to the State of George W which is a reworking of an old folk song. It was indeed hotter than hell. Concert with discussion of songs followed by question and answer. About six or so questions.

The '03 MSG show was the best show (besides my first at Randall's Island in '96). Crowd was awesome the entire show and Evolution & Baba were electric...
