    Here's my take.

    1. Girl problems is referring to someone that has "little" or non important problems.(ie jay z being black or the cop hating blacks what ever one you want to choose.)
2 I feel bad of you son (referring back to the police officer)
    3. I've got 99 problems and a bitch ain't one. (Probably referring to the police officer)
    4. This thread is nuts
    5. I love this collaboration

If youre having girl problems, I feel bad for you son.
Talking to someone who pretty much has non-existing problems,

I've got 99 problems... but a bitch aint one.

Jay-Z has real problems and alot of them - but atlest that policeofficer/policedog isn't one of them

Interesting article today examining the history of the word "bitch" in music. It's a thorough look at the many ways the term is used in music starting in piano bars in the 20's and 30's to Bowie and Elton in the 70's to modern artists of all genres, both male and female.

Includes a mention of PJ ("the avowed feminist band"-love that term)
It's OK, It's OK...we've all seen better days

Thanks for this... Interesting. So the word can also be used as a way for empowerment. This happened throughout history btw with many derogatory words. (I am not sure if Jay-Z meant it like this, I am not even sure of PJ is an "avowed feminist band" - as if fighting for equal and human rights does not include "females"; we have to create a "subcategory" for that; how ironic.) Thanks for sharing though.

I have to say it again...

This is so freakin cool. Jay-Z looked happier than rodman up there with the band.

Remember peeps...if your old like me and used to buy those "boots" from the private record stores. Remember no fuckin messiah. or "new songs" with not for you on it.

This is what we always want from pearl jam. This is great. If you don't think so watch the youtube video again and download jay-z's song and listen to it.

This is so super cool...just like fucking pearl jam

Yeah, I agree, you can see them really enjoying the collaboration. I even caught Ed 'singing' along with the chorus!

Wish they would do a proper mash-up, like Jay Z did with Linkin' Park.

I think that about sums up what everyone can do with all the negativity about what the band's doing these days.
    Posimists. Fuck the pessimists...fuck'em.

Good quote... But there is a difference between negativity and an honest debate... These are just debates. (Exceptions left out.)

I dont care what anyone says. I love this. Great video. EVERYONE on that stage was having a great time. isn't that what it's all about?

I remember some people on this board hoping Billy Joel would show up at the Spectrum. I would have been way more offended by a Piano Man collaboration....
  • I there also a version there with the whole WMA out there? For they haven't played that song for ages... Would love to hear it.

Does anyone know what Eddie Vedder was using in his right hand to play the guitar on this song?
