"You Are" 05/10/2006 Toronto. Never appreciated the song or the bass line until I heard it live...maybe I was just entranced by the nifty laser show!

"Present Tense" live also gave the song new meaning for me (with audience participation).

I have to agree with you big time with "You Are." After watching it on the Live at the Garden DVD, I started to become obsessed with the song. You might be right though, the light show is pretty awesome!

There are quite a few, but the biggest example for me is "I got ID".
Not keen at all on the recorded version, but the version on TB2K.
    Truly amazing!

The Champaign, IL (4/23/03) version of "You Are" blew me away, so much so that its the only song I've downloaded to my phone through VCast.

The Chicago (5/16/06) version of "Indifference" also blew my mind, I always liked the song, but the crowd participation at the United Center was unreal. ("Present Tense" in this show was really damn good too)

    5/16/06 - Chicago, IL
    8/23/09 - Chicago, IL

Yeah, I'd have to say I didn't appreciate PT until I heard this at that show.

Half Full was mentioned somewhere in here, too. Definitely that one, probably from the Winnipeg show the night before TB.

I was meh on WWS until I saw it live a couple times.
  • 'Porch' -- (MTV Unplugged)-makes me jump around and dance and scream like a madman/idiot...every time!

'Daughter/It's OK' -- (The Gorge:7/22/06)-brought me to tears the 1st time I heard it...no joke.

'Alive', 'RearViewMirror', 'State of Love & Trust', 'I Got Shit', 'Yellow Ledbetter', & 'Last Exit' can never go wrong in my book...

'Baba o' Riley' is still my favorite cover to hear live...Chicago:10/9/00 is maybe the best I've heard, but there's ALWAYS good participation...2nd place:'Rockin' in the Free World'

'Comatose' or 'Severed Hand' are my new favorites to hear live off the newest record...only because I wasn't @ The Vic to hear 'Parachutes', but I have the bootleg, and it sounded amazing!

'Footsteps', 'In My Tree', 'Indifference' & 'No More' are my favorites that I've ever heard live in person though...

    Countless songs!

Black, Inside Job, Corduroy, Breakerfall, Immortality, Present Tense, Alive, Even Flow, Porch, Of The Girl etc. etc. etc. :)

So many PJ songs are even better played live! I've actually gotten more into songs after hearing them live and appreciate them more.
