    I guess I'll just remind everyone that Ryan hasn't only voted against same-sex marriage. He's voted against every single piece of proposed legislation relating to gay rights that's been put in front of him.

    I'm not asking for attention...just putting my viewpoint out there. If people are allowed to voice their opinions on a public forum...so am I. If people don;t want responses...don't post here. Unfortunately I can't do something as dramatic as swallowing a hot dog whole so I'll just stick with the facts. :lol:

    Well, that's just it. It's not just marriage we're talking about but keeping people from being fired for their sexual orientation. Keeping people out of the military, keeping parents from having access to their children.

    Keeping it legal to bully kids so long as you're doing it because god would have wanted it that way.

    insurance costs rise due to people with bad lifestyle choices like diet and smoking ... i don't see a full out ban of fast food ... start doing that - peeps start crying about freedom ... but apparently that freedom to choose who they want to marry doesn't count for gay people ...

    Do insurance companies not pay out more money to an estate who has spousal benefits? Does an insurance company not pay out more to a person who is single vs. being married and having a spouse on the policy? Where does the money come from? They don't grow it. It comes from premiums. Don't even get me started on SOcial Security or Veteran benefits. :fp: :lol:
