wasn't really able to talk as there were too many people still, but he came out and shook everyone's hand and asked about the show and how many of us would be back todayhe also explained why he didn't play italy (italians asked him...way to spend your moment with him really :fp: ), seems there were problems with the venues. the polish fans got to give him their picture with him from copenhagen, the one that's on the site here.
I had to go to work at 6:00 am this morning so i could not stay yesterday.. :fp: :fp:
(tomorrow too so no use of going tonight..)

Actually we´ve got tickets for night 2, but- we took a look at the venue, chilled a bit at the water in front of the theatre and then wanted to buy some merch. There were these two men. Coming towards us. Question: "You're going in tonight?" answer: "No, we're going tomorrow." "You wanna go in tonight, too??" --- and they handed us two tickets for free for the hall, row 8 and 13. And then the doors were opened and we saw Ed talking about the Paul Story. Everything was dark but the stage, and it seemed as if Ed was right in front of us. So we had missed some songs but the rest was simply amazing!!
We're all the more looking forward to tonight!!!!!!

Well, you know, I remember how it was when I was a kid and didn't have enough pocket money to see my favourite band. Waiting outside, hoping to hear some music or buying a ticket (most of the time when the concert already started) with the little money that I had. I figured that the money was already spent anyway, so why not... Rather give a ticket for free than helping a scalper.0 -

There is a small merch section at the entrance of Carre (at the right). I was there 2 hours before Glen Hansard played. What I remember is that there are some new EV shirts (all black if I remember well), the poster for both nights (with the radio and gun), the Man of the Hour single, and some other stuff.
I had my two 10c tickets in the Loge 6 which is quite up (half way) the building. Apparently the 10C tickets are all-round the place. I know the place and all seats are great. You'll be especially blessed if you have floor tickets.
I don't know by heart the potential repertoire of EV, but for tonight I hope for some of Elderly, Just Breathe, Immortality, Nothingman, Long Road, Skipping, Off he Goes, Wish list...Rotterdam 2000 (CANCELLED) | Arnhem 2006 | Rotterdam 2009 | Berlin 2009 | Arras 2010 | Amsterdam-1 2012 | Amsterdam-2 2012 | EV Amsterdam-1 2012 | EV Amsterdam-2 2012 | Amsterdam-1 2014 | Amsterdam-2 2014 | EV Amsterdam-2 2017 | EV Amsterdam-3 20170 -

I want to say Hello to our friend Jay from Boston (Dalirock).
Sorry you could not be with us yesterday. It was an amazing show.
Sascha had tears in her eyes almost the entire show.
We got 10 Pearl Jam songs, some in complete new versions.
Betterman was hardly recognizable with the changed melody lines.
Again, we had the night of our lifes. Thank you Eddie.1993 - Rotterdam

Okay, this show forces me to post my first post EVER on this forum... I just need to share my feeling with you guys!
You will understand what my friends will never understand!
WOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW I am still buzzing! Really! I was in the second row in the middle so I was one of the lucky few who got to shake his hand after the show.
The setlist was more than I could have hoped for. Thumbing my way was for me personally the emotional highlight of the evening. But Arc was just… BREATHTAKING.
The venue was amazing and so was the crowd… let’s face it people it is NOT a rock-concert so clapping and screaming after a song ==> GOOD! Shouting things at the man when he wants to start telling a story==> :nono: :nono: :nono: BIG NO!!
But as I said the crowd was amazing, the setlist was amazing… I thought his voice was amazing as well and the stories in between just made the evening even more magical than it already was.
Especially when he told the story about “that bitch” (his words!) from English giving him a C- for a poem that was actually a Pete Townsend Lyric. And the story about how he always wrote songs when he was high ( “Probably because I was just high a lot when I was young.”) and how they always seemed so AWESOME when he was writing them but then afterwards they turned out to be… well not that awesome.
The duets with Glen Hansard (Who was amazing by himself btw!) were really beautiful! “Falling slowly” and “society” made me cry… like really tears running down my face… and I am NOT a weepy person!
Yeah… sorry I am babbling but I am just still in shock ( the good kind!) from what I witnessed last night. For all of you who have a ticket for one of his upcoming shows ==> he is worth every penny!0 -
