The Cubs are the most profitable team in baseball...so I'm fucking tired of their excuses how they need more money...no, what they need is better coaches, management and players and they obviously have the money to get better talent all the way around if they are the most profitable team in the league. They don't need a fucking jumbotron or to deface the historic scoreboard with some bullshit advertising.

Yeah, I watch games now and Wrigley is maybe 60-70% sold out. Back in the day I used to think "Gee, if people would stop going, maybe it'll force them to actually try to put a good team on the field!"
Instead, they sell out the park to those very things the fans don't want....and we still have a shitty team! :fp:

Too much money wasted on shitty players. Time to recuperate and make that money back.

:clap::clap::clap::clap: Exactly. Also if you want to charge top price for tickets put out a top fucking team, not a bunch of minor leaguers. At least I'll be going to the one good thing playing at Wrigley this year!

    Looks like it went through.

So the Cubs still are paying $18 million of his contract and they only got a low tiered pitcher? Wow, talk about getting bent over! :fp:

I really don't see how this helps the cubs at all. It saves them 6 million? They got nothing in return. Regardless of sorianos defensive liabilities, he's been productive over the past two years hitting. I understand rebuilding, but just giving a player away and paying out most of his remaining contract with nothing in return doesn't seem like the way to do it.

They finally got rid of the BUM!!
    Be happy!
What did you expect to get for a 37 year old, who can barely hit .250?

Obviously there weren't to many other offers out there.
Theo had to be thrilled to finally get rid of Soriano.
The guy was a complete bust, for the money we signed him for.

    He averaged 27 HR's and 79 RBI's.
And made a TON of money.

I would have traded him for a box of Cracker Jack.....
