Rumors now are of Cole Hamels. Fuck him. He denied us once before. Get big and make the Mets trade DeGrom to "us".

I truly thought chatwood would be a sleeper.  He's a bum.  The guy can't throw strikes.  I'd say swap him and Chavez, but I don't want the long man coming in and walking the bases loaded.  Duensing sucks, too.  I don't have any faith in the starting staff outside of Lester/Quintana right now.

Mother f'er. I turned it off after they shot the bed in the 8th. Bet Wrigley erupted when Rizzo walked off like a boss.

I 2nd this. I'd tell anyone who listen how much of a pleasant surprise the find him. I ended up with him on my fantasy team last year (walks were not scored in this league) and his W/ERA/K stats away from Coors were fantastic.

Hopefully he proves me right, buuuutttt....

That was exactly my thought process.  His splits were excellent at away parks.  So much for that.  With that delivery, if he could hit the plate he'd be decent, but he just can't do it with regularity.

Having by far the worst year of his career. DeGrom was who we should’ve gotten.

I'm hoping that being in a winning atmosphere with some guys he knows on the staff will help him out.  I'd hate to get back into the split stats conversation again, with how my Chatwood thoughts betrayed me, but his away era is under 3.

I do agree his away ERA is much better than at Arlington. Plus, a change of scenery on a winning club could re-invigorate him. Not to mention he’s a free agent at the end of the year and wants one more big pay day. A strong finish into the post-season could get him just that. Let’s hope for good things.

I think, for 2019, we can have him with a club option at 20 million, and not for a 6 million buyout.  If I read that correctly.

Not sure what you mean there.  Juggler?

I called the guy a winner.  He has a WS MVP.  I'd classify that as a winner, no?

6 runs in the first. It’s getting redundant to say, but it bears repeating. Our pitching BLOWS!

If Hendo could just stop giving up first inning bombs, he'd be the Hendo we all know and love. He was on point yesterday after the Ozuna homer.  And follow up with Edwards & Strop both having great innings on the same day.  That's the kinda stuff we need to see.
It still bugs the shit out of me that we play behind every game and now what seems every series.  It's like we're always trying to "avoid the sweep" lately.  Get games 1 & 2 for a change!!
