Bottom line is our pitching as a whole sucks balls.
Problem is, we've got 3 guys with ace potential, and one that has shown up. I'll give an out to Quintana, since he at least looks like he cares, and can have a phenomenal night at any time. Darvish..... That guy has the mental fortitude of a psychiatric patient. Maybe he comes back with an ounce of guts and I eat my words. Hendricks, if that guy can't hit his spots, it's BP. When you get to our 4,5,6,7 guys - we have to score 10 runs.

Yesterday was the anniversary of when he 76-pitch shutout the Cubs
hated that guy but he was the epitome of “economical.” only good part of being at his 300th win was selling my ticket stubs on ebay.

Hated Greg Maddux?!?! Said no reasonable person EVER. Greg Maddux was the Tom Hanks of baseball in the 90's. Hating the Braves of the 90's is fine if you want, but Mad Dog? Seems like an attention grabbing statement to me.

I can see it. He was stone faced as hell and that could be construed as sort of indifferent arrogance and despite that a bit of a dopey look to him.
EDIT: now I feel weird having put so much thought into Greg Maddux’s face.

Hendricks through 4 with 0 runs allowed. I'm betting Dyer had to delete a pre typed and not yet submitted fuck laced paragraph on fucking Hendricks and his band of pathetic fucking losers.

How did the cubs let Zach Britton go to the Yankees? We desperately need a reliever and we were rumored to be the front runner for him just recently. Is Theo sleeping on the job this year?

Britton isn't terrible enough. We'll sign some no-name with a career ERA in the 4-5 range and Jed &Theo will make us drink the "potential" kool-aid. Again.
It’s pretty frustrating that they haven’t made a move thus far. We need pitching help or we’re going nowhere as the season goes on. I hope we’re not the only ones that realize that.
Another day of anemic offense making a guy with a 5+ ERA look like a fucking Cy Young contender.
These fucking bums will be in 3rd place within the next 10 days. It serves them right. At this point I honestly hope we miss the playoffs this year. Maybe THEN they'll all get their heads out of their fucking asses and start playing with some god damn desire.
^ Yeah, the “you score 8, we’ll score 9” mentality in the playoffs won’t work. Pitching trumps hitting every time.
Exactly. This just doesn't feel like a team that can win a playoff series. I believe we'll get there. Might even steal a game. But I don't think this team, as it is right now, can win an NLDS. Too many question marks.

If pitching starts matching potential, then we'll be fine, but it's not WS champ caliber. We'd need a lot to go right in the playoffs.
