Heyward in the field has been phenomenal. But he definitely needs to be batting 7th.

Arrieta looked human today. I don't like that. I like it much better when he's pitching 8 strong innings and giving up 1 hit.

Yeah, but his next contract gets cheaper as the ERA goes up! hahahaha!
But yeah, the last 2-3 outings it looks like his command is a little off.

It's pretty awesome when we've gotten so used to Arrieta throwing damn near no-no's every time he takes the mound that 4 runs, 6 hit, 1 walk, and a win is considered a bad day and looking human.

Anyone know when batting practice starts prior to the games at wrigley?

Cardinals looking like shit first quarter of the season. Hopefully they'll pick it up and the Cubs will simmer down a bit.

What a silly thing to say
Why is that silly? It's a long season my friend!

Typically 2 hours prior, same time gates open.

I hear ya. But it looks like the Cardinals are the ones that are suffering this year.

Yep, rotation is a mess. Happy for the Cubs - my late Grandfather was a huge Cubs fan. Wish he were around to see them finally playing some good ball.

However, the Cubs don't take BP very often with Maddon at the helm. And with his results, I will not complain a bit.
