Do you prefer wood...

...or steel roller coasters? Me personally I like the steel ones just because they're smoother and go upside down. The wood ones seem to beat the shit out of me as well. I do like the sound of the wood ones though.

Steel for sure. The ones made by Intamin seem to be the best (i.e. Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force).

But sometimes you gotta have a little wood!

Steel by far! They can do all the crazy sh*t than engineers think of. I am a speed guy 8-) , But I will ride every coaster atleast once. i have been to many parks across the US. Cedar Point is definitely the greatest overall park. Six Flags in NJ is closest to my house so I have been there alot. El Torro is a wooden coaster that feels like steel, that one's cool.

    it really depends.....

i like the old schoolness of wood coasters...like gemini at the point...that think is fuckin awesome...i could ride it all day. mean streak on the other hand will kick the shit out of you after one ride. pretty sure it gave me a concussion one time.

steel are cool, because they can do crazy shit with em...as mamasan said millinum fuck rocks....i missed going on top thrill as it still had bugs to be worked out when we were last at the point...kept rolllign backwards....but steel can also fuck you up...i think it's mantis that bangs you around pretty hard.

Mean Streak was the worst one i have ever been on with respect to the amount of pain it inflicted. The best part was once the train stopped, someone behind us joked about how there was chiropractors waiting at the exit instead of the on-ride photos.

Millenium Force is definitely the best roller coaster I have ever been on.

The steel ones that mess you up are the ones that were built prior to designing them on a computer using the heartline method. The steel coasters that hurt were literally built by some guy saying, " oh, i think we should put a loop here, and this hill here". Now a days the whole coaster is designed around the heartline of the passengers, which assures a smooth ride and minimal risk of injury.

The cyclone (a woody) at six flags new England is downright the fing scariest. Mostly because it doesn't look like its built well and it creaks the whole ride.

sounds like the blue streak or wild cats at cedar point...although i heard they tore down the wildcat??? that was a cool ride....

they are also ditching disaster transport (thankfully...lamest ride ever) and the needle...the needle was always a nice relaxing thing to do. :(
