My 5 year old hates the feeling of a cold toilet seat. I'm trying to convince him that a warm toilet seat is not good.

 I had that same conversation with my 5 year old this weekend! once he understood where I was coming from he was more comfy with the cold seat but I may have created a phobia with sitting on public restroom toilets. Good thing he's a boy and that can often be avoided.

Earlier this morning,I was brushing my Grandsons teeth. He is 3 1/2. As he was getting down from the sink, he said," I feel the floor shake beneath my feet. I said,"Thats what we would call an Earthquake.Totally unaware of the Earthquake that was happening in Southern California. I didn't find out until I saw Breaking News on my Yahoo Account a while later.

That's funny - isn't it amazing that animals and kids are so much more in tune with the natural order of things; and somewhere along the line, we've lost that.

My best friend is from California and to her an earthquake is no big deal. But I'm a Kansas girl and the thought of earthquakes kind of creep me out. She feels the same way about tornadoes;which of course, I am kind of fascinated with. She never forgiven me for taking her to see Twister. And the whole time I was thinking "F5 - Wow what an awesome force of nature. 8-) "
And the sun it may be shining . . . but there's an ocean in my eyes

Steaming hot pie, steaming hot dog turds, warm toilet seats, bananas, and a girl with a gun in her cootchie...

I'm in the same boat your friend is in. Tornades are scary.
