We are very excited to announce I Am Easy To Find, a short film directed by Mike Mills starring Alicia Vikander:

    https://youtu.be/M2Uow9aNCRU

I Am Easy To Find, our new album out May 17th on 4AD.
The former is not the video for the latter; the latter is not the soundtrack to the former.
You can pre-order the album (2xLP, Deluxe 3xLP, CD, digital) now at americanmary.com.
    Film release details to follow.
The first single “You Had Your Soul With You” features vocals by the amazing Gail Ann Dorsey.
Hear it now linked in our bio.
A world tour begins this June, and we’re thrilled to have Courtney Barnett and Alvvays joining us at many of the shows.
See all tour dates at  https://americanmary.com/
Tickets on sale Friday, March 8th at 10AM local time.
Each ticket for the newly announced North American headlining dates (including the April North American performances announced last week) comes with a redemption code for a digital copy of the I Am Easy To Find album.
You also have the choice to use your redemption code to upgrade (at an additional cost) to a physical album (LP or CD) instead.
Festival performances (including the Ogden Twilight Series) and performances outside North America do not include a digital or physical album redemption.
Some North American headlining shows may not offer CD upgrades.
    Track listing:

Tour wise, they are far more accessible to me than PJ.  No, they aren't as big and I get that.  It's comparing apples and oranges, but when I go to see The National (even with traveling to all three shows), I don't feel like a wet rag by the time the show starts.  There are times I enjoy going to shows that aren't as much work and lines, sweet Jesus, the lines.  I have loved the time that I have spent with friends hanging out in the PJ lines, but I'm good to chop off hours of waiting.

Having only discovered this band about a year ago via this very forum, this band has gotten their hooks into me big time and I am happy that I will be attending my first show in April and will be gunning for my second show in June when tickets go on sale on Friday.

Thanks to all contributors of this thread for sharing such amazing music outside of PJ

If you zoom in, you will see that my phone screen is a shot I took at their Homecoming music festival.

Just such good music. Glad that you found them.

I've only been listening for a few years. While standing in the PJ merch line in Lexington, one of my friends thought he heard them playing The National in the arena. "The what?" He told me to go home and listen. I did... And here I am. My ears are happy.

So there's a special edition vinyl for cherry tree members?  What does that include?
  • A bit of a lurker here, but I just scored 2nd row at the Ann Arbor show - so psyched! I saw them for the first time in Detroit in 2017 and it was an awesome show.  Really love the new fan club!

I'm leaning toward doing the same thing.
I'm interested in seeing what the "vinyl upgrade" pricing is with the ticket purchase...
but with shipping costs, it may be less expensive to just pick it up at my local record shop!!
This worked out GREAT with the Sleep Well Beast release.
We got a 7' flexi-disc, poster, sticker set & door hanger with our purchase,
and I don't really care what color the vinyl is.

I'm not sure. You could message them to see. I am with DerbyDave. Waiting for the ticket download code to offset the vinyl price a bit. I'm going to get the the Cherry Tree color.

I thought they were unique to members but you could purchase tickets regardless? Can't believe ticket platforms are matching names?
