I want no one other than Eddie or Eddie + Stone, Mike, Matt and Jeff. Eddie playing with anyone else would only diminish the experience IMO.

can we just knock on wood and hope. please!

Or it could just be b/c the tour is in April.

Genious! Why does everything have to be a puzzle!

I think joke is on us for thinking that there's something within the name. We're getting all excited over something that might be and there's really nothing. April fools is always a cruel, cruel joke.
  • i guess i'm slow, but something very special may also explain the very restrictive camera/recording policy on this tour.

    This is why

  • The ticketmaster site shows "SPECIAL GUEST LIAM FINN" for the Vancouver show so I have to assume that Liam Finn will be there?..........hehe

Honestly i'm not worried or trying to figure out what other special guest will be there because i'm totally excited enough that Eddie and Liam will be there!

The way I look at it.........I'm the special guest that Eddie will be playing for!

  • i don't have to look at that--i know that must be the vic. that would have nothing to do with tightening up the recording policy.

except , people are just reading WAY TO MUCH into it.

    who knows though.

what if the april fools joke is not a concert at all, but just Ed, sitting there with a bottle of wine telling you his political beliefs.

which i would be cool with, but many would be pissed!!!!

which in turn , would be kinda funny. thats what ya get for buying tickets to a tour called "The Aprils Fools Tour". lol

    j/k

    or am i ?

i think it's pretty valid to be suspicious really, there's some compelling reasons. and if it is jsut ed....no harm no foul, it's still gonna kick fucking ass :)

i already know i'm gonna be happy at the shows. ed could read the phone book wearing footie pajamas and i'd be on board :D

exactly! why people have to come in here and basically nicely call us idiots for hoping or dreaming is really lame and unnecessary.

im not calling you an idiot. im not going to any of the shows, i actually hope you get the band, if that is what you want.

i guess my thing is, i would LOVE to see a solo Vedder show, so i would not want the full band if i had tickets to a show.

    thats just me though.
    Peace, Love.

... that the price is comparable to a full PJ show price ...

As I think (hope) more and more about this show, I think this factor alone speaks that it's just more than Ed and Finn -- cause the alternative is to think that EV has become a breedy gastard.

Though honestly I don't know the economics of small venue shows and the fact that full PJ tix are what they are tells me the alternative just might be on the mark....

But again, as much as I'd like to see him perform a full solo show -- he's got the showmanship, and the vocals and what not to pull it off -- does he really have the chops for a full solo show?

well perhaps it costs that much just because the venues are smaller than normal. but yeah it's interesting anyway that it costs almost as much as a full show

i think he has the chops....it'll be like an evening full of preset stuff is waht i'm thinking. i am really looking forward to it
  • Well, whatever it is, I hope you guys with the EV tickets are pleasantly surprised and treated to something amazing. Enjoy the show guys.

The possibilities are endless. That's what has me so hyped for these shows.

At the same time, though, if it's just Eddie for 2 hours, I'll probably walk out of the theater on cloud 9, having just witnessed the greatest show of my life. So, despite the possibilities, I'm still kind of hoping that the show is exactly as advertised. :D

it's exciting knowing he's never done something like this before, a little solo tour, and the thought of experiencing it....damn!

This thread would be a good place to hide a discussion of Monday night's surprise Ed solo show in West Seattle.

I heard it was a clever peek at what may be in store for the tour.

For the record, I think the April Fools' component will probably include some of Ed's friends dropping in for jam sessions and what not. Not necessarily friends from Pearl Jam--though maybe.

i think its bullshit ed would do a west coast tour and basiclly fuck over seattle

with only doing super secret industry show
  • after reading some press about the vedder shows, and especially after reading a quote from jeff, i don't think it will be more than eddie shows with perhaps a special guest or two along the way...which i'm more than fine with.

sorry, chiqui...reality is started to set in.
