Yes meant more of how great a song it's is, not that it's their overall best.

Yeah, Brian took requests on twitter for one of the shows (Dublin, I think), and he played all of the requests!!!

Although I've always thought their shows were great I think they are finally figuring it out. Increasing the lengths and mixing it up better (still too little Get Hurt though).

The Europe tour has looked incredible and they look like they are having the most fun they've had on tour in a long time.

That being said in between they are playing some odd festivals. Some of them are pretty much metal festivals which is weird. Wonder why they would want to play to those crowds

    My favorite albums in order:
    Sink or Swim
    Get Hurt
    59 Sound
    Handwritten
    American Slang

If Blue Dahlia is included on the Handwritten album, it jumps ahead of 59 Sound

Love Blue Dahlia and I'm in the live everything they do camp, which means I love Handwritten. That being said as an album it's probably at the bottom.

To me 59 has to be at the top of every list. I think it's a masterpiece. Then SOS or Get Hurt depending on my mood. Also think AS gets ignored a little.

Both AS and HW songs are far superior live than the record.
59 has one of my favorite gaslight songs (Patient Ferris Wheel.... god damn is it great) but overall it definitely falls into my 4th or 5th spot for them

I was at the Belfast and Dublin shows, they were both request sets. They didn't play all the requests, as they said they couldn't but loved that the people wanted really mixed sets and they were practicing other songs they'd not played in years. Brian said he thought that they had created a good back catalogue but there were a few songs he wasn't keen on and so they didn't get played.
The band were really tight, and obviously having fun. Brian was really chatty at both gigs.
I'll see them again in August in Belgium.

Brian Fallon interview in German: https://www.kreiszeitung.de/events/hurricane-festival-2015-ere317251/brian-fallon-saenger-gaslight-anthem-interview-ueber-springsteen-gunner-records-5149399.html

Quick translation of the important Qs:

    - When will the next album be out?
Fallon: Not next year. We take a break. It's kind of a "stop" for us. We do not want to take money from the people to see us all the time because we're touring and touring. They should not have to spend their money for the same thing over and over. That is why we have a break now. How many t-shirts of the same band can have a person? How many shows can you see? Let other bands come. People get punished if we play each year the same. Give me your money, come to our show ... - I think that's too much.

    - How long the pause will be?
Fallon: A year or two, I think. We take our time until we have an idea for a new album and everyone is convinced that it is really good.

Not that surprising they have released an album every two years it's time for a longer break. I bet a live album and Fallon solo project falls in between and the break won't be/seem as long.

I agree with you. Solo stuff and maybe a horrible crowed album thrown in.
