I'll get back to u soon on this. I've got a buddy who's trying to see if he can make it.
    i took his ticket :))

Wanted to get down there earlier so i could see Against Me! but missed them. Caught Jimmy Eat World and thought they were pretty decent. Gaslight came on at 9:30, but they were missing their drummer, Benny, who had to leave early in the day and go back home for personal reasons. So the drummer for Against Me! filled in for the first half of the show and did a pretty good job. The second half of the show was all acoustic so that was different. Brian was very interactive with the crowd telling jokes and stories so that was also pretty cool.

The House of the Rising Sun (Ashley & Foster cover)
    Dark Places (acoustic)
    Have Mercy (acoustic)
    The Navesink Banks (acoustic)
    She Loves You (acoustic)
    Break Your Heart (acoustic)
    High Lonesome (acoustic)
Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts (acoustic)
    1930 (acoustic)

Only thing that kinda sucked was they said there was an 11:00 curfew which i found kinda hard to believe on a Friday night. So they only played for an hour and a half.
Glad u got the tix Dave! Shit, wish I had your num cuz Frankie said u were here tonight. What a show

Well now..... I'm not super familiar with all their old shows, but if tonight wasn't one of their best, if not most impressive shows, then please point me in the direction of one that's better.

Eric, 100% bro! For not having Benny, to pull a set like that with those songs! Impressive job boys!

Glad Dave was able to take that tix off of u. My buddy made it to the venue by 8:45 lol. Paid $15 for a fake tix and they let him in anyways! Got to love Philly!

  • I really need to hit the Dr Dog show there tomorrow. Even though I've sen them a ton they never disappoint and the venue is great. Even though I've never seen them set up a side stage and have people perform. Weird that the main stage wasn't used.

  • I went last minute too. Got there at 9. Walked in and ended up stage right about 30 yards back.

That was a great show considering what happened to Benny. The first set was fun, but nothing stuck out compared. Other shows. I think the band was shocked that Atom could fill in.

Second set with dark places, high lonesome, and 1930 were highlights. Had a couple of groups of assholes talking thru most of the acoustic set. Was pretty annoying.

All in all... Solid show that could have been a disaster.

Isn't Rollin and tumbling a cover? Me could've sworn this is a song already somewhere? Maybe just the title?

Thanks for clarifying this on Friday night Brian. You stole the title from muddy waters, what a thief! =))

That's fucken cool Dave! Thanks bro. Already having withdrawals of seeing the shows. 3 Gaslight shows in about 1 month time. Now with the new album, they can switch up their sets every night. We didn't hear a lot of tunes I thought we would but that's what makes this tour that much more. How long before the boys make it back to jersey for some more dates east coast. They do tour a lot. People, go see these guys when they come to your town. Good old fucken Rock n Roll. And LOUD.... \m/

Saw most of the stream last night. Kinda jealous of the different setlist, expecially Selected Poems... Very awesome to see how much fun they are having up on stage. I thought the Boston crowd was kinda lame and didn't have near the energy at the shows I attended, but maybe that's just because I'm watching a screen.

I would bet $20 on it. He has done it before, but I'm not sure if that is an idication they would do it again, or if they won't since they did it already.
Either way, you should see TGA because they rock. \m/
