+1 I've still got a few shows to go with it being spring here & have a few concert tix in my pocket(so to speak) already but I'm sure nothing will top the shows I saw in Europe June-July.

That's all I can think of right now. I'd say Bruce Gillette or Phish SPAC night 3, BJM was pretty great as well.
"What can you expect when you're on top? You know? It's like Napoleon. When he was the king, you know, people were just constantly trying to conquer him, you know, in the Roman Empire. So, it's history repeating itself all over again."
Guns N Roses - Dublin
Pearl Jam - Manchester x 2
Leonard Cohen- Dublin
All were great shows but Leonard Cohen was probably in the top 3 of my best ever shows
I fear I'll not realise the dream of seeing Leonard Cohen but keeping my fingers crossed. I simply couldn't go this year and I was gutted! Saw two great PJ shows in Manchester but Mark Lanegan with Creature With The Atom Brain supporting was the best night musically this year.

Well because of no PJ concerts for me this year, this one from Sat. night Uncle Neil and Crazy Horse gave me what has been missing. Words can't say enough of what I experienced. Third time seeing Neil saw him back in 83 with CH then in 2009 and then 2012. Neil will always be my true Musical Love of my life. The energy on stage was like a PJ concert. What you take away from it carry's me through.

Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
5/15/12 - Jack White / Alabama Shake @ The Ryman
3/23/12 - The Revivalists @ Vinyl Music Hall
5/16/12 - Jack White / Alabama Shakes @ The Ryman
3/16/12 - The Avett Brothers @ The Amphitheater At The Wharf
1/13/12 - The Revivalists @ Vinyl Music Hall
3/08/12 - Mumford and Sons / Dawes @ The Ryman
4/21/12 - Trombone Shorty @ Vinyl Music Hall
Would probably add Avett Brothers w/ Amos Lee on NYE at the top of the list, but looks like I'm stuck here longer now and won't be making the show
Only 3 so far this year (so far being the key word--I think I'm going to about 12 shows this summer!):
Guns N Roses- MD
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band- DC
Rodrigo y Gabriela with C.U.B.A.- DC
Springsteen's the winner by a country mile, though I really did enjoy all the other shows.
But there's just something about a Springsteen show...was my first and I was absolutely knocked out by how incredible the whole experience of being there was. That show was just the epitome of why I love music so much!
Wow, this year has been a crazy year in concerts for me (in a good way!), to say the least! Since those 3 shows, I have seen 24 more shows  (in part due to having 2 awesome music related internships that have gifted me with free shows) And I have more coming up! But after all those shows, I still gotta go with Springsteen. I was awestruck by it. What an unbelievable experience (wasn't just a show, was an experience)!!

at this time....I will have to say my best concert of 2012 was Afghan Whigs in New Orleans. HOLY. SHIT.
Isn't Greg a lovely person? I had the honour to see his other band The Twilight Singers in London in 2011. I didn't manage to meet him personally as you did , but from what I saw on stage I believe he must be a great guy.

he is sooooo nice. I've talked to him a few times and always super sweet. those dimples....sigh...lol.
Gentleman (reggae) - Opole, Poland. This man simply love the music and people. He went into the audience singing and than stopped there to listen how his wife is singing on the stage (she is in choir). Amazing.
