Thanks for the welcomes and the info. Long story short...I've been riding the wave with Pearl Jam since we were both in our twenties. I have always loved them, and have NEVER seen them live. I am a cancer survivor. Started thinking about a bucket list...and seeing PJ live was the first thing i thought of. Learning to surf was second...do they make surf boards with training wheels? 8-) This is the year. Wish me luck with tickets. Big hello and thanks to everyone for this site. :D

    Wow! Awesome story!!! :D

I don't think it will be a problem to get tickets - especially if you grab them on Saturday morning. I'm going to get up early (I'm 4 hours behind eastern time) and get them set, just for peace of mind about it.

Hope you check lots of things off your bucket list this year! And for many years to come!

Wow...cancer survivior? Here!.......bucketlist? Here......never seen PJ? ....yup......I'm starting with Eddie solo though.......and no oceans where I live
Good luck with your tickets, and all the best to you.... :D

Thank you...and to you. I'd love to see Eddie too. Main reason I've never done concert or ten club was the money. But life is short. Gotta have things to look forward to. Got my tickets this morning...yippee! I hope you have a wonderful time at concert! :D

I reserved a hotel but I may be up for staying with you if that's ok? You sure your wife isn't gonna trip out ;)? Also may have a buddy along with me if that's ok?

I finally join the Tenclub, and the next day this show is announced. It's fate.

I'm in the Atlanta area and can probably host and outoftowner or two at my place If a fellow PJ fan needs it....

I don't know much about Atlanta. Is it a safe walk at night from the park to the Residence Inn at 1365 Peachtree Street?

If not, what's the next best travel option? Driving clearly will not be.

I've booked the fourseasons for 2 nights. Great rates out there considering how many acts will need rooms close by plus 35k fans in the area.

  • Hi guys, I'm planning my long-awaited vacation trip to the States on sept-oct (I'm from Chile, visiting NY but don't mind changing the route a "tiny" bit xD)
I'm so happy to see PJ is performing and that there's a chance I can get to see them live! But since I'm travelling from so far every penny counts xD I'd really appreciate if you could help me with some tips or recommendations for hotels/hostals (not so expensive) and of course, I'll be thrilled to meet some PJ fans there =D
I'll be asking a few more questions about the city itself of course, I've never been to USA before xD and any info would be highly appreciated =D

Im in. But this DOES NOT count as a Southern tour... Disappointed we are most likely getting only festivals...

It's better than anything we've had in the last 3 years. I think the 2008 'southern' tour consisted of Bonnaroo and Columbia, SC.

I've come to terms that the 00's and the whole W/red state thing turned this band off from ever doing tours across the south like they did in 1998, 2000, & 2003. If I'm going to see my favorite band live, I'll be driving 8+ hrs to do it. SO... I'm just thankful Atlanta is only 4 and a half hrs away, and if they play sunday night in Pensacola Beach I'll try to drive there too (if DeLuna opens up single day tickets).

I noticed the FSU icon... you are missing FSU-Clemson for the Atlanta show?

I'm an FSU season ticket holder myself and was stoked to find out Pearl Jam is not playing Saturday in Deluna so I won't miss the FSU-Clemson home game.

Anyway, I like the icon. GO NOLES!!!!!

The Highland Inn had some deals in the $55 range and included breakfast. Not many bells and whistles and is about 2 miles from the Park. It is located right around the Virginia Highlands, so you are walking distance to a lot of bars/restaurants/boutiques.

The Georgian Terrace is a nicer hotel (it has a lot of history-where Gone with the Wind had it's premiere), which is roughly 1.5 miles from the park, and had some good rates right now.

Even if you count them (and I don't as both require days of driving for most southern residents) that's still only a paltry 4 dates. Wait, 5, because I thing WPB was played twice.

Nope, just one in WPB. Wish it was two though
