Hi guys, I'm planning my long-awaited vacation trip to the States on sept-oct (I'm from Chile, visiting NY but don't mind changing the route a "tiny" bit xD)
I'm so happy to see PJ is performing and that there's a chance I can get to see them live! But since I'm travelling from so far every penny counts xD I'd really appreciate if you could help me with some tips or recommendations for hotels/hostals (not so expensive) and of course, I'll be thrilled to meet some PJ fans there =D
I'll be asking a few more questions about the city itself of course, I've never been to USA before xD and any info would be highly appreciated =D

Im in. But this DOES NOT count as a Southern tour... Disappointed we are most likely getting only festivals...

It's better than anything we've had in the last 3 years. I think the 2008 'southern' tour consisted of Bonnaroo and Columbia, SC.

I've come to terms that the 00's and the whole W/red state thing turned this band off from ever doing tours across the south like they did in 1998, 2000, & 2003. If I'm going to see my favorite band live, I'll be driving 8+ hrs to do it. SO... I'm just thankful Atlanta is only 4 and a half hrs away, and if they play sunday night in Pensacola Beach I'll try to drive there too (if DeLuna opens up single day tickets).

I noticed the FSU icon... you are missing FSU-Clemson for the Atlanta show?

I'm an FSU season ticket holder myself and was stoked to find out Pearl Jam is not playing Saturday in Deluna so I won't miss the FSU-Clemson home game.

Anyway, I like the icon. GO NOLES!!!!!

The Highland Inn had some deals in the $55 range and included breakfast. Not many bells and whistles and is about 2 miles from the Park. It is located right around the Virginia Highlands, so you are walking distance to a lot of bars/restaurants/boutiques.

The Georgian Terrace is a nicer hotel (it has a lot of history-where Gone with the Wind had it's premiere), which is roughly 1.5 miles from the park, and had some good rates right now.

Even if you count them (and I don't as both require days of driving for most southern residents) that's still only a paltry 4 dates. Wait, 5, because I thing WPB was played twice.

Yeah, I see we play Clemson that weekend. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. DVR it and watch when I get home? Get updates from friends that are going/staying back? Not sure yet.

The UF game is the same. Ed in Jacksonville the same day/night as the UF game. That one I do not think I can miss.

honestly, with our schedule and how good we SHOULD be, I do not see us losing more than one game.

GO NOLES!!!! Just wanted to say that I'm a Noles season ticket holder as well. Sec 29 row 8...seats right beside Jamnolfin-if u guys frequent Warchant.com, u know who I'm talking about. I'm definitely headed to Music Midtown for PJ. Will miss Foo Fighters on Friday though cuz I coach high school football in N GA. Friday nights are booked for me. Love to see some Nole reps on here. I named my son Bowden BTW and had the opportunity to tell coach Bowden this. Jamnolfin invited me to join him to give Coach Bowden a "gift" which was thousands of new booster memberships he landed. Got to spend quality time in coach Bowden's office and met rest of staff including Jimbo. Coach B's response to me telling him about naming my son after him-"Son, I've had horses, goats, and hogs named after me, but never a live human being." I knew this was just an example of his never-ending humor because he had a grandson named Bowden who was killed in a car crash during a hurricane evac. weekend of Clemson game back in 06 I think. Anyway, the best two things in life are Pearl Jam and FSU!!!!!!!!!!!

What other bands are people hoping for them to add? I'm really hoping for Band of Horses. They are playing Deluna, along with some of these others, so I'm really hoping for them
