I asked Emek for the ripped one. I love the un ripped ones but Ill never afford those. So I figured I can get the ripped one and frame it in sections on black matting.

I fell in love with it the day I laid eyes on it. Joe got to emek a day before me.

Oh boy you guys dont understand the Love I have for this ripped up poster.

You dont have to do that. Your the best.

When I first seen it on Emeks site I had the perfect vision of this thing all framed up. If I win or obtain it I will take pics for all to see. I would be the happiest person in the world.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;) seriously have goose bumps waiting on whats going to happen with this poster :D

I can see how this poster, regardless of whether it's torn into pieces or not, is so highly regarded by so many (in fact, I can understand it more so than that ridiculous Billboard print and the attention it receives). Having said that, my wallet and I are both glad this print doesn't do anything for me.

Good luck to those chasing after it.

I've seen those torn up at an Emek show a long time ago, and then I read somewhere that Emek tore some up and put them on the walls and people stole them as they left...

I'm glad you got one with Emek's blessing.

Now, my two cents: I'm gonna state the obvious that when it comes to collecting posters, a crease/bend/pin hole could cause a print's value to go down about 30-40% depending on how bad it is and if it could be 'saved' by framing it nicely. This is torn in 3 pieces, and although this poster has some history behind it that makes it even more 'mystical' than just a regular poster torn in 3 pieces (and it's probably the most awesome PJ poster ever), the collectible value of this is almost $0.

It has more value to you than to anyone else, because Emek tore it for you. If I were you, that poster would be my #1 PJ collectible and never in my life sell that. They would have to bury me with it.

Congratulations on getting married! Me and my girflriend have been dating for 7 years and I'm still dodging the bullet mate...

Any updates on the possibility of a raffle? I'm with Don, this is a HOLY GRAIL of mine (ripped or not) but still no way I could afford a grand at this time, if I did something like that, my wife would have me in the street, and I don't think this would the best blanket :D:D:D

That being said I could see myself buying a ticket or two to try to win this, so please keep me informed.

    The print goes for $3,000-$3,500

I would say more like $2,000-$2,500 for an AP signed and doodled. I've been eyeing this up for quite some time. The HC edition may go up to $3k or more though. If anyone has an AP for sale, let me know. I have a print that I can trade straight up for this(or pay the cash).

However, I would be in for a couple tickets if you do the raffle.

Funny how many of my poster buddies keep telling me how crazy I am for wanting this.

They say the same thing the other member was saying is that its worthless. Its more of a novelty item.

But im still in love with it. I am not in love with the value of posters.

Besides...Those same "poster buddies" would have been clamoring to get that poster if they had ALL been "ripped editions". ;)

I respect your decision, but am curious if someone offered you the grand and that is what you are taking? The intial post put a grand price tag on this to help purchase something that I was led to believe would be an engagement ring, if I knew this was "throw your best offer at me and I'll choose the one I like best," I would have done that too... Wish you would have mentioned you were open to trades, hell, you probably wouldn't have accepted mine as it appears you will more then likely make out as a bandit on this one.

Part of me feels like this violated forum rules, as it turned into accepting offers behind closed doors, but as I mentioned before, I respect your decision, and someone I am sure will be very happy :D:D
