If you like older with mullets in their late 30's, then you got the right concert.
Sounds like the Heart/AIC show.
For the first time in like 10 years, I saw a suede jacket with fringe on it. Of course, the woman wearing it had an over-bleached mullet and mom jeans on, haha.
I see all the CCFA fundraiser threads for the pre show party, I was wondering if there was to be one for the Philly shows. I was interested in maybe donating a concert poster to be auctioned/raffled off to a lucky winner and the proceeds, how ever little it may be, would go the charity. If any can PM and let me know, I think it could be fun and for a good cause.

fanchy...did you hear who's coming in concert??????? Def Leppard co-headlining with Journey!!! I've already promised a pair of tickets for my sweet Julie, but those are all the spare tickets I have! Maybe they'll be in cincy?
Yup; they announced today that these guys are playing at THE RIVERBEND. As you may recall, this is the same venue that flooded and forced PJ to cancel their 2003 show (insiders say the band was very upset because they were to play all YIELD straight through that night).
From the following pic, you can see how this place gets flooded very easily. It happens all the time. It's aight, the place is cool.

without getting my ass flamed, can someone *please* tell me if there is some sort of group rate at the comfort inns penn landing? someone told me that its somewhere in this insanely long thread.
I guess everyone was at work and actually working today? Glad I wasn't the only one. April is going to be a difficult month to get through if I have to spend it working. They need to announce more information about the tour, or at least offer up another show from the vault. People seem on edge here and it could get ugly. It didn't seem like there was much excitement over the LA show either. Well, LA isn't Philly...poor souls. Also, I hope no one in this thread has given up on the the elusive NJ3 show. It looks like there are a lot of quitters out there...WTF? I haven't given up on it. It will happen.
so me and a couple of my buddies are goin to both of these shows.... can we get in on this tailgate action?
I LOVE THIS BAND

"I hear Fanch has a Pimp Cup and loves Kiss. I think that's all that really matters."
OK. Here is the deal. I am driving into work today, running a couple minutes late. I have been on this big Eminem kick lately so I am blasting his "Curtain Call" cd at full capacity with no worries in the world.
I get to work and I work at one of those corporate campus type of offices where they have a lot of buildings and multi-level parking garages and shit.
So I am driving into the garage looking to get to level 2 to find a spot. I am behind this lady in a LAND ROVER. This lady is going up the ramp and sees an open spot, kind of drives past it a little bit (imagine the same type of thing people do at the Mall on Black Friday when they are hunting for a parking spot.)
Anyway. I am staying a safe distance behind this lady and I see her drive past the open spot, waiting for her to make a move, then without even a moment's notice and without even LOOKING in her REAR or side VIEW fucking MIRROR, she slams her LAND ROVER in reverse and plows right into my fucking car. And keep in mind, she was backing DOWN the ramp so that even added more speed to her reversal.
Without having a chance to even move or react her fucking LAND ROVER smashes the front of my car. The entire front of my car is smashed in. Her LAND ROVER bumper barely has a mark on it.
Anyway. LONG story short. I call corporate security. They call the local cops, I get a police report. The BITCH admits to the officer she backed up without even looking.
I call my insurance company. It's a done deal. This B-I-T-C-H's insurance is paying to fix my car. and I will have a rental car for the time being.
PLEASE: If you ever see a BITCH lady driving a silver 2000 LAND ROVER Discovery (license plate: EBD-XXXX) give her the finger. Thanks
Bottom Line: I will have my car back in time for the May 12th Pearl Jam show in Albany. So all is ok with the world.
Also, I hope no one in this thread has given up on the the elusive NJ3 show. It looks like there are a lot of quitters out there...WTF? I haven't given up on it. It will happen.
I haven't given up hope on a 3rd NJ show either, but it doesn't look promising. This just shows once again, that JERSEY sucks donkey balls.
JERSEY can sell out 30 consecutive nights for Bruce Springsteen but can't even sell out 2 Pearl Jam shows fast enough to warrant a 3rd show being added. Bunch of losers.

You're going to Jam across the river.
Btw, I wonder if all the traffic caused by the River Jam will cause problems for people taking the ferry across.
