Thanks, I try to please. Julian and I are doing 5/31 as well. I think Jen still has an extra ticket if you want. She asked me if you were still interested today.

And yes, Lost will be good tonight.

I didn't know you and Julian were doing 5/31!!! Yes, I pmed with jen about the 4th ticket! I told her I'm not 100% sure yet! I'm still thinking about it! I might just want to buy a pair when they go on sale to the public so just in case I change my mind at some point I can sell them (which I won't be able to do if I had 10c tix and/or I don't want to screw Jen with the ticket at the last minute)! BUT........I still might take jen up on the offer...hopefully she'll give me a little more time to think about it...please jen!!!! :D

I thought tonight's LOST was about Sun and Jin (however you spell them) but then I read something that it's about Locke...do you know who's backstory it is tonight? I also read that Rose and Bernard have an upcoming backstory in a May show!

You're going on the 1st, right? I figured that I'd have three nights to rest before the big finish. My wife is going to be really mad. I do, however, feel good about my decision. I would regret not buying a ticket.

Who are you asking this question to? hahahaha

This is a happily married couple, with a baby on the way and they still make time for PEARL JAM, they have their priorities in order!!!!!!!!

If your wife gives you a hard time about going to 7 shows in 10 days just sit her down and say "Honey, look this is perfectly normal what I am doing here. I'm only going to 7 shows in 10 days. And yes I will need to buy a t-shirt and poster at all 7 shows but that is perfectly normal."

Yeah depending on dates, I'm really thinking of Vegas as well. I just hope a couple shows are close by it so I can see more then one show if I go out West. Like maybe Vegas on a Thursday and Phoenix on a saturday would work out well.

- Substituting San Diego for Phoenix would also work well. I've always wanted to visit there and I have a good friend who lives there.

VEGAS BABY....VEGAS!!!!!!

I have a free round trip ticket on United that I need to burn by October 2006. That ticket has VEGAS written all over it. It just a matter of PJ announcing the show date, then I will book it.

I passed up State College and I regret it to this day. East Rutherford is like 2 hours from home. I had to do it. I'm on my own with this one...just like Holmdel. :)

NICE move man. Trust me you won't regret it. when they open the 5/31 show with Oceans and close with Indifference you will be happy you went. they will also play Leash and Garden that night so again if you don't go you will probably kick yourself....

You are so right. I have a drawer full of shirts and close to 20 different posters. My concert behavior will never change. Shirt + poster = given. Here is the short story of my tour history.

The 10c ticket offer arrives in the mail.

WIFE: "You don't expect to go to a bunch of shows do you?"
ME: "well, I'd like to see a few."
WIFE: "A few? That's crazy!"
ME: "Honey look, State Collage is on the day after my birthday. Let's go. Come on, that's your school. That's what I want for my birthday."
WIFE: "No way. It's 3.5 hours away. We're having a baby. That's crazy, no."

Fast foreward to May 3rd, 2003.

WIFE: "Pearl Jam is playing at Penn State today? Why aren't you going to the show? Yesterday was your birthday. You should have gotten tickets."

It is the same story every tour. She says "Your not going to a bunch of shows." and then "Why didn't you go to more shows?"

This time around I kept my mouth shut and bought the tickets. 5/31 is a real stretch but I rationalized it before I bought the ticket. A year from now I will look back and see that show as not one of 4 within 5 consecutive days, but one that was only a 2 hour drive from home. Why wouldn't I drive two hours to see Pearl Jam? That would be stupid.

She is going to be mad. I am going to be there. In my opinion, that is better than "Why didn't you go to more NJ shows?" after the fact. Like I said, I don't think I'll ever get over State College, or MSG, but that is another story all together and my friend's doing.

FRIEND: "I don't think that we want to be bothered with getting in and out of NYC. NY is not a good idea. We'll stick to Philly." I bought it having never been to MSG.

after the fact

FRIEND: "Oh yeah, MSG would have been real easy. There is a train from Philly that pulls in right under the venue. Maybe we should have done that."

Fuck me...

I went to Holmdel all by myself. I didn't ask anyone's opinion. I didn't ask anyone if they wanted to go. I bought my ticket three days before the Hershey show. On the 14th I got home from work, made two PB&J's, pulled four Sam Adams from my fridge, threw it all in a small cooler and hit the road. It was one of the best shows of my life. The best before the Borgata. I have no problem going out on my own. It sounds like a lot of you will be there too so I won't really be alone now will I? Mike, you have first refusal to my 102XXXtra.

You didn't know that? yea there is NJ Transit or AMTRAK trains that pull right into Penn Station which is directly under MSG, and the trains run until all hours of the night. so you can attend the concert and take the train home afterwards.

Regardless, MORE COFFEE you are doing the right thing. trust me, if you didn't go to the 5/31 show you would kick yourself the day after and months after. By going to the show you eliminate that problem!!!

If a PJ show is within 2 hours driving distance you are required to attend. If I ever get married (which is highly, highly, I repeat HIGHLY unlikely) the "PJ clause" will be written into my pre-nup agreement.

Basically it will state:

The 2-Hour rule: If Pearl Jam is playing within a 2 hour driving/train distance from my house I will attend that show.

The Poster rule: I will buy a poster for every show I attend. I will also display these posters in the house, on the walls, framed. If we ever get divorced I keep the posters, you can have everything else.

There will also be a "Sunday NFL football clause" written in the pre-nup as follows:

"Every Sunday during NFL season I will be watching football. This means from 11am when NFL Countdown is on ESPN, up until 11pm when Sports Center is on it will be football, football, football. No exceptions. During the 1 week where the EAGLES have a bye, I will still be watching football."

Hindsight is 20/20. I have one poster up on my walls. It's Philly...of course. :D

I really hope 5/31 happens now. It felt so good when I clicked "Buy" around 7:45PM this evening.

Ha ha ha.. yeah if we had that much money in our bank accounts, I think most women would let us hit it any way we wanted.

PhillyPJ- I'll have to remember them clauses if I think of getting married again.. not that I am.

And MC- how could I refuse it???

Damn I'm tired, and realized how fucking uncomfortable it is taking a bath for the first time in like, who knows how long. Especially when the rest of the bathroom looks like a leftover prop from The Moneypit. Ahh but it will all be finished soon enough and I can relax in my nice whirlpool tub :D

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
