I am seriously considering driving out to Cincy for the show on 6/24. Thinking of making it a Pittsburgh/Cincy weekend. I am fucking crazy. I have a disease.
Good luck with all of that... I have family obligations that weekend so I seriously doubt that I can hit either show. But damn I would really love to go to at least one, mostly cincy...

i too am seriously considering this. what is WRONG with us?
Because you weren't smart enough to plan ahead and buy tickets for Pittsburgh already.
I had tickets in my cart for Cincy as well, but released them after debating for 1 hour whether or not it was feasible to get from Cincy to Philly by 10 am the morning after the show.

cow and chicken probably are really pissed off at you right now

Who doesn't have a pick from Mike already? That's so passe.
1) Seems many of you folks are seriously considering the Cincy show. That is awesome. This surprises me, but in a good way.

6) My "goodbye party" thing for work is on Friday. Aw yeah.
7) I've been away the last few days; looks like I have mass reading to do. I continue to be amazed that this thread still exists/hasn't been locked.
I am seriously considering driving out to Cincy for the show on 6/24. Thinking of making it a Pittsburgh/Cincy weekend. I am fucking crazy. I have a disease.
Not me. I am officially done. I had a great time, but this was the hardest tour for me ever. You should have seen the look on my daughter's face last Friday night when she found out I was going to another show...the next day. You would have thought I told her our dog died. It broke my heart.
I'm ending on a high note. Last Saturday was a great show. I can't say that about every one I've seen this tour. Ed has changed too. I love almost all of there songs but I can only hear the same ones so many times at the shows...and in the same order too. The main set was very repetitive throughout the leg.
The first three songs on 6/1 and 6/3 were identical. I didn't realize that on Saturday. Why do you think that was done? Was it a test for the crowd? The two shows were VERY different. Like I had said before, I could have easily missed Thursday's show. It was not one of their best and the crowd was lousey. That used to be unheard of for a New York area gig. I respect Ed because he left nothing back and did the best he could. He was just so tired and the lame crowd didn't give him the boost he so desperately needed.
You will have a great time on this second leg. It will be interesting to read about as it plays out. They will pull out some more old material and maybe actually play it if they receive any feedback from this leg. Their sound is still great. Jeff just totally amazes me. I never appreciated him enough...No more. He is the man.
My highlights from my past 6 shows:
Dancing to Come Back with my wife

I didn't even buy a shirt.
I wish I was going out west with you all. You are all aware that you will see two incredible shows. Those shows will put all that you've seen recently to shame. You deserve that for your commitment.
It is hard to believe that it is over already (for me) but even harder to believe that I'm glad. Don't get me wrong...I'm still a huge fan. They are by far my favorite band. Besides, Id rather have one from Stone. Speaking of, who was selling those Stone/Mike shirts at the CCFA booths??
1) Seems many of you folks are seriously considering the Cincy show. That is awesome. This surprises me, but in a good way.

Between Hooters & the Beer Sellar is a large outside wooden deck, with a risen stage between them (I'm assuming that's where the PJ tribute band will be). All of this with the Cincy skyline in the background. WE have the "Beer Barge" to take our black asses across the river & to the show.
4) We can have a photo op with all the ladies with the Hooters babes. That's awesome.
5) Speedy, YIH, PBM, BlkFlg etc are coming, along with other folk. I hear that He Who is That of all Things Yamcumber shalt appeareth.
