Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE

8? wow! I heard some people lost or had theirs stolen cause the packaging sucked this year. My box was taped pretty bad but nothing missing.

Yeah just no big acts for me. Kinda want to see Vampire Weekend and Yeah Yeah Yeahs but they can wait. Tom Petty would be cool but not a huge fan of his. The other acts I like I have seen most already.

Kinda weird I was expecting to go to this and skip Made in America but now it's the opposite

Yeah, we got a big crew this year (Bigger than I would like) I'm probably gonna split up for most of the day.

Our box was completely opened on the one side but luckily nothing fell out.

I'm not really big into the acts either, but the location and timing work out so well that I have to do it.

I will be jealous of you at MIA

Firefly is tomorrow
My group got 'early bird camping' which lets us camp thurs-monday and also camp closer to the fesival entrance. (Which is farther from the casino where I will be going to daily to use the restrooms )

I am really excited... kinda. My excitement has decreased since I had my last Crohn's disease flare up this past weekend (talk about timing...) and I am hoping that I can pull this weekend off. I could barely sleep on a mattress last night, I don't want to think about sleeping on a flimsy sleeping pad... /rant

Can't wait for RHCP and Tom Petty. I should probably figure out who else i want to see :roll:

Sorry to hear about that, I hope you get better soon. Some really good bands that I can't wait to see (aside from RHCP and Tom Petty) are Edward Sharpe, foxygen(they are amazing!!!), dispatch, grizzly bear, jim james, and vampire weekend.

Are you driving all 3 days? That's what i did last year. I didn't have really any problems. Parking was well organized. Getting out was very easy on Friday and Saturday. Sunday on the other hand took over an hour to get out which i kinda expected.

Saturday would be great but I would have to see japandroids and the shakes. Can't be there early, and I just saw petty in NYC. I forgot that I committed to bake my son to the phillies game on sunday. Oh well!

Well coming back next year. tix go on sale this Wed. at 10 AM for $198 (up $50 from last year :roll: ).

Kinda glad i didn't go this year. Heard traffic was a pain, the bathrooms were horrible, and it was way too crowded. I wasn't really in the mood for dealing with people last week anyway

Depending on whose playing next year I probably won't go.

Well, the traffic was horrible. I sat in it for about 3 hours the first day while my friends were waiting for me and the bathrooms were really gross, but only on the third day. But, I still had one of the best weekends of my life enjoying great music with my friends and having a blast camping. Also, I expected the crowd because of how good the lineup was this year. Every band I saw was absolutely amazing! I was really close to the stage for Vampire Weekend and they performed such a great set.
