I've really been thinking/siked about the possibility of this and then remembered this thread. Pearl Jam, come to Firefly! It would be killer and it would work on a lot of levels. Its a festival style show that's up & coming(2nd yr) with a lot of buzz. Pj's never played DE. Firefly sells all their own tickets themselves~No Ticketmaster, or Livenation to worry about. It's in a central location on the East Coast within close proximity to Philly, NY, Baltimore, and DC. Dogfishhead is the official brewer(draught Pj20?) I think what would be the coolest thing though is the camping. It would be 1 big 10c party leading up to Pj, not to mention all the other cool bands. Half the fun of Pj20 was meeting and partying with fellow 10c members. Here's hoping this becomes a reality. Who's with me?

ME!!!! Also Dogfish Head Ale teamed up with Firefly and was the official beer there. Faithfull Ale is made by Dogfish Head Ale.

Yesterday they had the line-up up on their facebook page but it was blurry so you couldn't read it. So now people are thinking maybe Blur will be there

I'n hoping thinking Pearl Jam, Blur, Arcade Fire, Strokes, Vampire Weekend, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Phoenix, Dispatch (That was one of the hints, grizzly Bear (another hint), fun (possible hint), and who knows who else. I think bonnaroo announces their line-up the same day.

Hey Dave, I'm thinking about going to this if the lineups awesome. My question is how's the traffic for this event. Heard its a complete nightmare. Mite be coming from west Chester for this.

Depending on the line-up, I'm there. Easy travel distance , no hotels, and, after attending Nascar in Dover, no traffic phobia. Not far from the beaches either .

Only time I had trouble was getting out the lot on the very last day, took awhile. Friday and Saturday had no trouble whatsoever.

its the lineup for 2013 that Firefly put up yesterday, its blurry but somebody enhanced hit and you can clear make out The Lumineers, Fun, Tegan and Sara, and Vampire Weekend, and actually The Lumineers and Vampire Weekend were confirmed earlier today for Firefly, the person who cleared up the image seems to think that Pearl Jam in the headliner in the top righthand corner, it kinda looks like there name but I'm not sure, but 55 Hours (a section in the delaware local paper) said last week Pearl jam are a very likely to be a headliner, guess we'll find out for sure Tuesday

I'm not going to this or anything but I looked at the picture and that definitely says Pearl Jam. I wonder if they will do some other dates around this time.

  • It looks like a Y....the first letter in that blurry upper left, but idk if there is another letter before it or not. Only can hope for the best I guess but with last year's line up I wouldn't be surprised if they locked down huge acts. This is only their second year and if they get better logistics at the venue this could be one of the better festivals in the country in a few years.

PJ as a headliner takes me back to seeing them at Bonnaroo 2008 ...opened with Hard to Imagine, included All Night, Down, Who You Are, WMA, both Release and Long Road, both Porch and Rearvierw Mirror , Love Reign O'er Me, and All Along The Watchtower . Oh the AG-O-KNEE . P.S. If PJ plays Firefly, I'm there. Heck, even if they don't and the line-up is good, I'm there. Unless PJ play Bonnaroo instead .

No PH but I am very happy with the lineup! Was not expecting most of those bands, but I am glad they are playing. I want to try to get pretty close to the front for a lot of the smaller ones this year. Gonna be an awesome weekend. And hopefully not as hot as last year.

  • Lots of solid bands but nobody that really oaks a wallop. I can check out most of them when they tour around here... Except Petty that's pretty legit. I think they took a slight step backwards this year with the lineup when this was the year that they could've jumped to the forefront of East Coast festivals if they pulled huge headliners. Might head down for a Saturday show depending on how the lineup shakes out though. These things are always a good time.

I like the line-up a lot. I'm just a tad disappointed with the headliners. RHCP and Petty? Where's the third headliner? Or is one them gonna play twice? I say replace RHCP with Pearl jam and add Arcade Fire and or Kings Of Leon Other than that pretty solid and i'll be going since i bought my tix last year,
